Hi,
I have watched this prograamme a few times and there are something i think are a bit suspect. Excessive chopping to the point i wander about structural safety. Kemp's ganster car i would never cut the top/bottom off a spring, and i thinkk the ay they welded hem in was a bit of a botch job repair for something that wasnt done right (in my opinion). I would have looked into seeing if i could have found shorter springs or if i could use the torch to reshape the last coil into a proper seating( as per uncut).

The VW , i would have concerns over how strong the car is, concidering its basically had the front end cut off and another welded on.

The test runs i think are a bit silly, as on tv, the programme seems to make them out to be blindly track testing a vehicle to see if it will fall apart???... surely theyre is a better way to do it?
I mean , you wouldnt fly a plane i'd just welded the wings on to see if they fall off??? !! Wink.

The arguements i find are irritating and spoilt it for some of my freinds, who like these types of mechanical programmes... I only started watching the programme series because there wasnt much on that i hadnt already seen before lol. I tollerate the arguements, which i find rather stressing and not needed.
I wander how much metal to filler is used to get the end finish?

I would like to see Bernie and Lepu build a car from a kit car rolling chassis, insted of just hacking up old scrappers.
Lepu's cars are interesting designs and they all have some style about them, yet some oddities that make me think, 'hummm i wish he'd done something more with that...'
- gangster car, huge boot space but appeared to be lacking something to it
-mg car, bigger engine! more power!, roll bar( if it didnt have one)
- Jag one car ( i mean jet )- what was done about the boot on that?
-Bentley.... decent looking
- Capri, its hard to hide its a capri, but i think that is a meaner looking vehicle.

The above are a few i liked the look of, but i think that the Rover jet car was a fair take on the original, without it being a copy. It looks like a 'retro'. But i wander what was wrong with a rover V8 engine- to keep the vehicle all Rover..

Well i hope there is a new series, with more cars, more technical and facts info shared, less arguements on tv- more on the side of fabrication, mechanics
