I visited Monkey World today, fantastic.
I came home to watch more on Tv as it is tuesday after all. On goes Animal Planet, and a baby chimp appears on my screen. "Brilliant!" I think, then i see its not Monkey Business, but ' Chimps: A Whisper Away From us', a programme about two baby chimps in california having tests carried out on them to show "how similar they are" to humans. This, surely we already knew! This is common knowledge! There was no point in these tests. These chimps should be with there own kind, as I saw today at monkey world. Some of the natural characteristics of the chimps I saw today at Monkey World were being punished on CHIMPS:A.W.A.F.U.
These sort of experiments should not be justified by filming it. It should not be on animal planet, and those two chimps belong in the wild, if that is not possible, then perhaps in monkey world.
A bit of a rant i know and my first post on this forum but this type of testing teaches us nothing about chimps. If you have seen the programme tell me what you think. cheers. truc.

I completley agree with you. I believe experimenting on chimpanzees(or any other animal for that matter) is disgraceful. When you think that those chimps could be playing in an large area behaving like a chimp with other chimps it just makes you want to jump into the tv screen, nick the chimps and take them to monkey world or some other place where they can BE chimps.
