I NEVER missed an episode of Meerkat Manor (and I always buy the DVDs to keep me tranquil while awaiting for the next season) The episode where Bubble was murdered by the Commandoes (Season 2, Young Blood) had its reasons. Nature must always take its toll. Every meerkat mob will kill anothers offspring instinctively, simply to improve their own chances of gaining territory and food supply. It was sad to see poor Bubble die...But the tears for me didn't come until I saw little Squeak being comforted, being hugged. The music made me burst into tears as the narrator (in my case Mike Goldman) said "In this one surviving pup, the legend of Big Si...lives on."
