Is it just me who finds this programme terrible. The presenter is possibly one of the most unlikeable characters to be signed up for a series.
His training methods leave a lot to be desired, they border on inept and abusive.
Please bin this programme.

I love this programme, this guy is a proper dog man and understands that dogs need boundaries and to learn where they belong in the household..... when he finishes the owners may not like his honesty but they love the finished dog that they can actually enjoy...

I agree dogs need boundaries and need to know their status ,i.e. not pack leader, however his methods are confrontational and just seem to be used for dramatic TV effect.
I would not class myself as an animal behaviourist expert but I have some experience with my own GSD who I adopted from a GSD rescue centre, she had been turned down by the police for being too reactive, not even housetrained and left in a kennel for 4 months. She was 2 when i adopted her and through specialist training and patience she is a wonderful dog now. At no stage was aggression towards her needed or physical abuse like this bozo seems to use.

Clearly this forum is full of people without anything better to do than post garbage. Seems the gene pool is a bit shallow in certain areas.
As it's not a forum for a sensible discussion i'm signing out.

I have to say I agree with you on that. These forums are ment to be educational and useful, but as you say there are afew people who don't seem to get that in their thick skulls.
Yes, it's very annoying.

I have watched the programme once, but i'll never watch it again, I dissagree with the methods he uses for them.
It's as if he forgets they're just as living as us.

Yes I too find his methods of training deplorable. You must delve deeper into a pets mind to figure out why they behave as they do or look toward the owner. Just being the top dog of the family pecking order is not enough.

And as we are discussing education, I believe the first one to educate on this forum is cazanna/blu talon in the proper use of the chat. Blue Talon never has anything worthwhile to say yet insists on covering up by putting a lot of glittery nonsense in the posts. Roll Eyes

I agree with banker on the gene pool deterioration, and with others on the training; not to my liking.

But do keep posting to set an example of proper forum usage.
