DC documentaries are really good, in most of cases, but they often spread a specific point of view, that one of the anglo-saxon world (mostly USA and UK). It is a fact that the dominance of English language is subjecting non-English cultures, that is, the other points of views are often ignored.
This is particularly evident when documentaries deal with non-English countries. The view is biased by a the anglo-saxon culture and some misunderstanding or prejudice occurs. Not a major fault, but very few people in USA or UK watch at non-English channels, so culture is spreading in one direction only. I said more in: Dominant culture speaks English |
