If you could make a wildlife film about any animal in the world, which animal would it be and why?

Why not have a go!

Hi LOUisEALLmiGHtY,

Unfortunately you do need to be 18 in order to enter this (for legal reasons) and Animal Planet will be checking all applications to ensure that entrants meet the minimum age requirement.

I'm sorry that you won't be able to enter this time, but hope that you continue to come to animalplanet.co.uk and check out our competitions and events.

I would also love to take the challenge to enter Unearthed, I am in my mid twenties (and a single parent) but I have NO experience what so ever. I grew up taking care of MANY animals at my childhood home, in South Africa, so I know how fantastic it would be to go to Shamwari(?) although I have not been myself.
I dont even own a camera let alone know how to edit video footage ... this is my dream I just dont know if it is worth the disapointment, knowing I have NOTHING to offer.
Is there anyone who has ever been in my situation that has made something from nothing?

Hi Kahiatay - Thanks for your post on this forum about Unearthed. I'm so glad that you're a keen to enter. I know that making a film can be hard, especially if you don't have the equipment. My advice would be to buy or borrow a digital camera which has a video function and shoot with that. There are many places on the high street which could transfer it onto a CD-Rom which you could send in to us.

I hope that helps - happy film-making!
