My daughter’s rabbit, snowy, lived for seven years; is that a record? We kept her in a fenced off corner of the garden so got lots of exercise. Even though the pen had wire mesh buried deep into the ground snowy managed to escape a couple of times. Next door were two slavering rottweilers, she loved to pop her head up on the safe side of the fence and sit for a while staring at them. As the dogs snarled, barked and generally went berserk trying to get at the fluffy bundle, she would clean her whiskers then nonchalantly half-hop to the nearest flowerbed for a quick snack. Snowy seemed to love the attention the dogs were giving her and no sooner had they had calmed down she would do it all again. If she had been afraid I doubt if she would have repeated the experience.

My Rabbit is 12 years old.....My understanding from web searches that the world record is 14 years old, although my Vet says that at a conference she attended, one vet had treated a rabbit aged 18.....so unfortunately, 7 years of age isn't a record.
