Back from Dorset Frowner wish i was back there NOW
Current mood: accomplished

Well Back from our Bi annual holiday in Dorset WE arrived Sunday and for the evening walked round the centre of Poole esp the harbour looked at the Sunseeker boat builders yard with the MEGA huge boats some of them well over £2.000.000 mark in price yes i said 2 million! We were flabaghastered! very nice boats

The next morning we got up early got ready and drove from Weymouth where we were staying to MONKEY WORLD woooooooooooooo It was a beautiful sunny morning, we arrived on the dot of ten and went straight in! we walked straight over to say hello to the nursery gang My how they have grown Brian is huge now and ever so cute, he is starting to cut his adult teeth which is great for him ( bear in mind he had all his baby ones removed brutelly by the hands of the photographer in Mexico who owned him!)

WE stood playing with Seamus He is as adorable as ever and joined in a right old game of hide and seek with me, he would run to the fence then run to the viewing window when i got there he would jump up and down then run to the fence again he had me doing that for about 20 mins! then i think we were both tired! The we walked around the rest of the park we went to hanayas troup which are in Charlies old den they were all just walking around or laid on the platforms letting the sun soak into thier black hair

Then we walked over to the ORangs and it was early so the babies and my gal A-mei were still in the nursery but slowly making thier way over to the open nursery compound,. we sat watching them for ages both Dinda and Linga are gorgeous and getting big Dinda is a mini me of Hsiao ning her sister who is still there ever so cute every such a naughty rascal

then we walked over to the bachelors some were in the Pavillion some had gone out so we walked round the side to see if we could see CHARLIE and we did awwwwwwwwwwwwwww he is such a sweetheart they were eating the early scatter feed and Charlie was eating then asking his pals for some with his wave of his hand and the pleading face, when he got enough he walked up a pole and sat with Çarli who i have grown to adore also but not quite as much as CHARLIE

we walked round to see if we could see Susie and BART no joy so we meandered around the park the whole day visiting the resturant the shop on 3 occaisons LOL and spending oodles of money had a really nice chat with Pat 2 as she is known * Pat one being Pat Groves*,Pat Swan was really nice and we chatted about MW about Jim who she clearly loved and misses with a passion she was really nice and thankyou for the chat.

Then we walked back out into the beautiful sun and re walked the park the girls went with thier dad to the wonderful play park the one by the Uglies i just stood talking to Sally and the gang at the nursery then went off to see my Boy my baby Charlie which i was very fortunate to see, on the way i met up with Jeremy K who as always was in a rush busy as always with some ape business or other we chatted and we even got talking about my Myspace which i tried to convince him to come online and see but he "doesnt do PCs " which is fair comment then we got talking about his other passion motor bikes a passion i can share in I love motorbikes esp Harleys.

then after i went off to see the Orang nursery and also went to see if i could see baby Bart and I DID awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww what a cutie but sorry he is the double of Eddi with the BIG no HUGE ears you can so see theyre siblings ha ha. we mooched round the park till it was time to go

went to Dorchester Tuesday did the moos like the Tutankhamun mu and the Dinasour one and spent more money

Wednesday we went to Lulworth Cove on the morning this is a small cove which is part of Dorsets famous jurasic coastline the weather was beautiful i waded / paddled right out whilst fossil fossiking didnt get anything but enjoyed it all the same. Went to Poole shopping later spent more money ha ha.

Thursday was yet another glorious day so headed back to MONKEY WORLD got to meet Mike * who i incidentally met years and years ago whilst a kid when i visited Bristol Zoo* he was very nice and charming

Saw my baby Charlie, also got to see Baby Bart some more, then got to see Çarli who decided to play with me for ages we had a play he was sat at the window of the pavillion he laughed and we pulled faces at each other and he is just the sweetest chimp. then Sammy wanted to Join the fun so we had more fun then i left them to mooch round the rest of the park on visiting the nursery both Ben and Seamus remembered my monday game and decided it was fun so again had the chasing game theyre so cute! Sally had her usual air about her and Lulu was just chilling, the babies were running around doing their own thing also.

visited the shop several times during the day and the adoption centre were i was informed to go at a certain time to see Jeremy do some one to one time with Charlie with him being weak and not 100% he likes to do it to keep his spirits up and just ensure hes ok we have to Look after our CHARLIE so i made my way to the pavillion and we all sat and watched this magical time Charlie so adores Jeremy and the feeling is very obviously mutual and they both enjoyed their one to one time.

Saw Alison but not to talk to the first time she was busy in the cafe the second was whilst i was stood in the adoption centre she passed with some people, also saw Jez Hermer again.

then the time was up, and time to leave i never want to leave the place i love it soo much,

Friday Morning got to go back to MW so was over the moon to go visit with all the babes again, saw Charlie and Çarli and baby Bart and discovered my Hubby has a soft spot not only for Pip and Ben but also for Eddi who he enjoyed watching her antics on the beams and poles around her enclosure! Had to leave around 14.40 as we had to drive to Bristol was gutted to leave MW i hate walking away wish i lived near by so i could visit often

Saturday we visited Bristol Zoo it was a great day out saw the gorrillas two females a huge Silver back and two babies one who is only around 8 months old awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Got to see the meercats which were just so damn cute!

then we waited basically ALL day to catch a glimpse of the Javan Langurs and my paitence paid off and at 4 45 they came out for arounjd 20 mins which i wooped with joy theyre so beautiful so i was happy to have seen them didnt think it was gonna happen

all in all an excellant holiday of course MONKEY WORLD was the highlight we are already trying to work out when we can go again

Pictures will be posted in the next day or so, i took over 2000 photos most are not so good but theyre ok.

tho had a misshap with the memory card whilst talking to Sally she put on a really wild and wonderful display she was sticking her tongue out at me, * my daughter and I were the only ones there* and then she was rolling her tongue and then she flicked her tongue in and out side to side so fast it was sooooooooooooooo funny i got it on the cam but when i got to the car the memory card had crashed! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Talk about devastated i was so upset! the next time when it was just before closing i got some more pics but tho she teased me with her tongue sticking out i never got the other wierd tongue rolls again

HI alkady, how are you. So pleased that you have been back to Monkey World. I have a trip planned to Iceland next year, but I will be planning some of my holidays in the UK next year to save funds for Australia and Monkey World will be on the list of places to visit!

I've been to Iceland about 9 times now, I think. It is a wonderful place and I never tire of it. I have been to the Blue Lagoon but have never been in it, but hopefully next year!

It's starting on animal planet next week i think.

It was on tv a few months ago they have changed the name of the programe it was called "Lemur Island" but now its called "Lemur street" weird Cool

SPOILER ALART

It is like meerkat manor:

They have group names:
(The graveyard gang and the tornados gang)

And they have names:
(electra was my favorite lemur, then you have got Prince who later on dies and Gizmo who dies of a starvation due to a broken leg and not keeping up with the family and there is more)
