I love Steve Irwin and even then the stuff done on Animal planet was minimal but Now to see nothing mentioned on air or no special programes or mention of jim at the end credits is a shame, Is there something special planned when Allison etc is feeling upto it? or is there no tribute to be aired?>? Jim and Monkey world are worth the recognition the wholly deserve and after all it brings you revenue world wide! come on AP do something to show us you care about JIM

Maybe a show dedicated to him by fanz of the show

thing is they didnt even go that much over board for Stevos passing i think it was people on here that steered them to make more of a fuss, but people like Jim who make a difference and hell the show is seen all over the world it brings in revenue for AP a simple over note at the end to mention him or even a the history of MW and how it all started etc would be a nice tribute

Animal Planet will be planning a fitting on air tribute to Jim in the near future with the consent of Alison Cronin.

We will of course let you know online as soon as any further information is available.

GOOD infact EXCELLANT, it just seemed that Nothing has been noted on air of his passing i have spoken to other MB fans who didnt even know he had sadly passed and that is a shame so yes of course when Allison is ready to help a proper acknowledgment and fitting tribute would be great, what about maybe getting MB fans to send in a video message or the like??

Very sad with the passing of Jim Cronin. Loved the show and his love and passion for his work were contagious. My condolences for his family and staff at mokey world.
I was very suprisde that discovery/animal planet dind't make a tribute of mention of his passing! Shame on you. He was a true symbol for conservation and passion for saving animals. discovery/animal planet should be paying tribute for Jim!

Let us down!! I have only just found out that Jim has died!! & I watch MB alot, so to find out via there website was a bit of a shock, nothing on the channel about it, nothing on the news HOW bad can it get, he was a wonderful conservationist & will be greatly missed.

Your so right they had a Jim day the other week but all it was was a day or repeats of the "latest" series No real effort etc to tell Jims story even if Allison is still to upset to talk to them they have enough footage to make thier own tribute! Iam going a week on sunday to MW to pay my respects to this Unsung hero

I agree that AP haven't done enough to commemorate Jim but have you asked why they haven't done a tribute yet? AP Leo previously said that they are planning a tribute with the consent of Alison Cronin. Maybe for some reason Alison has not given consent for a tribute.

ok so even if theyre awaiting Allison to agree to a doco special and she cant face it yet which of course is natural and very very understandble, with Steve when he passed it imiediatley states on his programs he has passed etc yet not tiddly squat is mentioned AND they show MB everyday they could put a footnote at the end of the show with thanks to the Late etc... there is More they could have done this week alone 2 people have discovered that he has passed only by chance! Frowner

I agree alkady, I just wanted to point out that they may have a reason for not doing a documentry. My way is thinking is that yes AP should have made some sort of announcement but at the same time I'm still greatful to AP because without them we wouldn't be able to watch programmes like crocodile hunter and MB

I have nothing against AP persay after all like you say they bring us joys and wonderful tv and we would never have found Steve nor learnt of Monkey world other than them but it would have been nice to have some proper aknowledgment of his passing after all weeks later and people turn up still at the place hoping he will be there Frowner which must be so awful for staff esp Allison and Jeremy
