It was nice to see some new material at last, but so sad knowing that Jim is no longer with us.
What d'you think of the new format? I think I preferred Chris Serle's style of narration, but it's early days.
Did you see Alison's interview in Saturday's Daily Mail magazine? It's good to see the media finally taking an interest in their work.

Just watched it again (thank you 'V plus' box! I've set it to record the series), this time paying full attention and not cremating the dinner at the same time. It's different, but like you, anything Monkey World related is fine by me. I've only just realised who the narrator is - I thought his name was familiar.

Have you seen the new videos posted on the MW website? The one where Alison speaks at Jim's memorial is so very sad. It can't have been easy for her....A very brave lady.

I'm not surprised that you 'blubbed', it's hard enough watching on the laptop, never mind being present!

Just watched today's episode...isn't Julio gorgeous!

I had no idea that there was a dvd availble to buy. If you could give me some idea what to ask for, I'll give MW a call tomorrow.

I know what you mean about Carli. He so obviously adored Jim from their very first meeting. Alison mentions in the Daily Mail article that she goes to see Carli every day and when he sees her, he looks behind her for Jim Frowner

I dunno if it is out yet they asked people who were at the open memorial to put names down if interested and they would assess from there then let us know when they had them so in theory they will............

You lucky thing - I've never met Jeremy. He was in Taiwan when we were there. It amazes me the rapport he has with the animals. D'you think he's the 'missing link'? Big Grin

All this monkey talk, I really want to go back to Monkey World! I was so pleased to see my old friend Sammy on today's programme. He's such a lovely animal. I can't imagine how he ended up with the hooligans Wink

By the way, still not really appreciating Andy Serkis.................

You're going again! It's really good that you are prepared to make the effort - if my memory is correct you live a long way from Dorset. I would love to go again, but am pretty tied having to look after my and Mum - she has dementia.

I've had a word with MW this morning. The dvd isn't out yet, but when it is will be available to buy online, with as you said, the proceeds going to Jim's Memorial Fund. Hope it's available in time for Christmas, I can think of a few people I could buy it for.

I'm off to MySpace now to have a look at your photos.........

I've just seen your photos! Didn't realise that you had to register to view.

Great page and what a brilliant set of photos - I adore Charlie. Lovely photos of Jim, Alison and your family too. That's what I liked about them, they always seem to make time to chat to the visitors. You can see from the photo taken at the Memorial that poor Alison has been through the mill.

Enjoyed tonight's episode......

I'm so glad I'm recording the whole series. I'll have withdrawl symptoms when it ends!
Just wish I could figure out how to transfer it to tape or dvd.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow. Charlie is such a character. When we were at MW I spent more time at the Batchelor Group than anywhere else. They all have such 'big' personalities.

As for My Space, when I figure out how it works, I'll definitely add you..... Until then see you back here soon!
