What has happened to discovery channel? Discovery channel has been my favourie tv channel for atleast the last 10 years but in the last 24 months you have increasingly moved away from your original concept of a good mix of science,nature,travel and history programmes and youré now basically redneck tv. Shows like american hotrod, american chopper , mythbusters, 5th gear, come on dirty jobs with Peter Schmeichel what are you thinking of????? fill up the screen every night. Tedious and boring semi reality tv for slackers has replaced shows like historys turning points, civilisations, nature shows and so on. Dont get me wrong there should be a place for the us automotive shows as well but not like it is now. I realise that this is intentional in search of higher ratings and ad revenues.... But I cant be the only one who feels that you are loosing fans (like me). I have reached the point where I cant see why I should pay for discovery channel anymore and are seriously contemplating not renewing my subscription to your channel.I feel that you are loosing the soul of discovery channel and sincerely hope you will rethink the path you have chosen. If not well you have so many channels now how about another one? Discovery Classic?

i sorta agree but they moved most of the "sciency" shows to the science channel, history channel, military channel, and biography channel, but, i have no idea if you have those channels in the uk, me i have to pay them extra bucks to get those channels , i agree some shows should have stayed on TLC and HGTV but even those channels changed, heck even cartoon network and nickelodeon changed , face it MTV changed too , pretty much every channel has to change then you have to pay extra just to watch the old shows, and its sometimes just not worth it, but i would say still, watch discovery, every once in a while they show the "classics",
