Has anyone seen the '8 Minute Expert' films on Discovery and Discovery +1?

I get up quite early and usually watch Time Team at 5am or 6am, and after it finishes there's usually a short film called '8 Minute Expert'. There's a few different ones and they're quite humourous, and I'd like to know more about them and whether it's possible to get them on video or DVD.

They're not listed in the TV schedules, probably because they're just used to fill in time between programmes, and I can't find any mention of them on this site. I've even tried googling for the company that makes them - Treatment - but I've got nowhere with that.

Anyone have any information?

i read your message a month or so ago - god knows how i came across your post again and why i am replying to you now - or if you will ever get it but.....

I had Sky from around 1998 to 2000 and used to bump into the 8 minute expert show all the time. it was always on at about 9 to 6 in the morning on discovery or 9 to 7 on discovery+1.

At that time I did a google on it and found something out about the prog on an online TV guide. I think it was digilist. com but it no longer mentions this show. Anyway, at the time i remember there were 8 different programs in the series about different topics.

i have had Sky and Sky+ once more, since 2003, and Discovery still play the show on a daily basis ever since then from what i can tell. BUT they only ever play 4 episodes now -

(1) about GAMBLING
(2) about BRAIN SURGERY
(3) about CLONING
(4) about SPACE TRAVEL / ROCKETS

i know there was 8 to begin with, i don't have a clue why they don't play any of the others any more - and i can't remember them either!

anyone else want to add?????

I'm looking for these short films too, here's what i've found so far...

I know that the animation was done by a company called Spy pictures who in turn were commissioned by a company called Joy films (of whom i can't seem to find a web presence for at the moment ) but they do have contact details, I'll post more when i hear back from them
