So whats with the new Shed ?? Since when did us Discovery people only fish and since when did we only do it from a shed??
Come on Discovery ! When I heard the change was on its way I, like many many others I am sure, thought great!! Lots of Norm, Tommy, Mr Fitzpatrick and those of a similar ilk. What do we get ?? A bit of fishing, oh and another bit of fishing - - and look another bit of fishing!! But hey - no look !! More fishing. Wonder whats on tomorr - oh goody yet more fishing !!!! Discovery - its a rip off and you know it. Don't get me wrong I fish and love it but if I have to hear Wilson's cackling smug, self-loving voice or Matt telling Brownie what a wonderful fisherman he is much more Discovery will lose another viewer.
I love Discovery as their channels can usually be banked on to get away from the clap-trap the usual commercial (and otherwise) channels produce now but I believe you are serving your viewing public very poorly. Shed was a chance to get lots of DIY type progs (of all natures)together for us nerdy DIY types and you've failed the test. As us old Army folks used to say "Poo or get off the toilet" - you know what I mean !!!

Nice to know I am not alone in thinking that shed is a sellout and not what was advertised

Yes I agree. Discovery is just regurgitating programs over and over. They must take us viewer's as simpletons. Bringing out "New" channels when all they serve up is the same old stuff.

I think I'll start a web site about discovery rip offs. We pay enough in subscriptions, and have to endure long commercial breaks, it's about time we got our moneys worth. Co on Discovery commission some new programs Without Llewellyn and loud Yanks who talk like simpletons.

No offense bigboper, but I would be very hasty about using the word 'simpletons' when making a pretty astounding NINE mistakes in your post.

That aside, while it is true to say that Shed IS regurgitating old shows, it's because when a channel launches it doesn't necessarily get flooded with new programmes. Seasons bring in new programmes. I expect you'll find that throughout the rest of 2009, and on into 2010, new shows will pop up.

I just thought I'd defend Discovery who, in my opinion, are a really good channel. Give Shed a chance, it's still a baby!

No fair dues to discovery , they are some good programmes. But,I do agree with the New? channel "shed". Its just the same stuff but different name. Every time I turn it on there is something about fishing on it. Something different would be nice.
