Is anyone else getting fed up with themed months programmes not keeping to the theme?
Example -- June & July - Real Time Extra, build month including at least two Sundays of Fishing with Matt Hayes. Since when has fishing had anything at all to do with building?? This month on Real Time Extra is fishing month so what do we get on regular Real Time??? you guessed it FISHING!!! Come on Discovery, get your finger out ! Not everyone is obsessed with fishing.(Or American car/motorcycle/building/DIY programmes either) How about putting Mark Evans and Charles Clarke on at more sociable times? How about some programmes about some of the other popular hobbies that never get a mention? Model building (Including railways) sailing, narrowboats, painting etc.Maybe things like bringing back Tommy Walsh and less of the American DIY like This Old House that are next to useless in the UK. Maybe even trying something unusual like asking US what we like to watch instead of endless re-runs of American Tat? |

I guess some people can find something to complain about. I am a older Dad with 8 year old twin boys.Its very hard some times to find something on the tele.,that all three of us can watch and enjoy.My two boys would rather watch mythbusters,than any cartoon channel. So we really try to plan our days around whats playing on the discovery channel and we can all watch it together.I mean really with all the options they have and they choose to watch the discovery channel they know all the people on just about every program. Jamie,Adam,Mike Row,Steve Erwin ect..I mean really look at their options what would you rather your kids watch ?

I also enjoy Mythbusters - but really, you CAN have too much of a good thing. It's getting worse'n the Beeb at Xmas!
