This will probably piss some people off, so...
Anyone who plays Cricket, or knows everything about this (probably excellent) game, please stop reading now... I told you to stop reading... You! Yes you! Stop reading, NOW! Now that the fanatics are gone... In the program aired today, they talked about the crawler used to move the spaceshuttle into position, and then the said that it was the 'length of two cricketfields'... WTF? What the Bl@@dy F**K! Yes, I know that Cricket is somewhat of a national sport in England, and I have no problem with that, but that measurement makes absolutely NO SENSE for people who doesn't play Cricket! Now, claiming that the Beluga is the worlds largest transportplane, that's just a mistake(I believe the Antonov 225 still holds that title) Using Cricketfields as measurement though, is not just confusing, but how accurate is it? Can we really accept such sloppy reporting in a science-program? Had he mentioned the length in Feet or Meters first, THEN compared it to Cricketfields, then it would be OK. And no, I don't want to know how long a cricketfield is. If I wanted to find out that I would just have checked Wikipedia... Weird dude.... |
