I just saw a documentary, “ My dear Child of the Enemy”, on Feb.7, 2009, at Taiwan’s Discovery Channel. I was so touched! Fostered parents adopted these abandoned children during the war time. I don’t think I am so noble that I would be able to take care of anyone who supposed born to be my enemy.
We, Chinese, always say that “fostered parents are so great that they are as high as the sky”. It is true when you look at the fostered parents described in this very documentary. Nevertheless, it’s also very sad to find out that most fostered children did not able to manage their lives in Japan after they back to their mother land, and therefore, they have to left their fostered in China, and even not able to afford the trips to visit their fostered parents left behind. By write this message, I hope I could bring some attentions to this documentary. |
