As we should all know, the new series of Deadliest Catch is broadcast in the UK, on Discovery Channel every Tuesday at 9pm. On Tuesday, 26/06/2007, Discovery will broadcast Episode 7 of a 12 episode series. So can anyone tell me why they are discontinuing to show Deadliest catch after this date? IT's a bit of a stupid thing to do. Its the only time slot when you can actually keep track of what episode belongs to what series. Why not keep it simple - NEW SERIES, TUESDAYS AT 9pm until the SERIES HAD ENDED - not with another 5 still to broadcast.

well i cant even see series 3 in the listing for tuesday (26th june) like you have said mark, i have been recording it on series link on Sky + it was there after i watched last weeks and now it has gone. this is the only programe my husband and i like to watch together.
why change it, things get lost on discovery when there are so many airings of the old series.
please can someone tell us when its on next? is series 3 going to continue?

I've been taping this show from series one and now it's just disappeared mid season...this is crazy.

Can someone please enlighten me as to why this has happened and WHEN it will be returning.

I can't tell you how angry I am, this is a great show and deserves to be treated better!

Thank god for that - I thought I was going mad! I series link on Sky+ too & got home from a weekend away to find that I had recorded a random episode on Saturday night, when I checked further on in my planner I saw that Tuesday had disappeared & keyed through the whole of the programme planner trying to find where it had gone. What is going on? Why is the series starting again this week on a Wednesday?

hi,i think discovery europe is a very poor second to the american discovery channel, and they are out of order for cutting the deadliest season after 7 episodes, i have emailed them twice asking about this and have had no reply, its so annoying !!

it wound me up them doing this, they do the same with american hotrod.

This is so annoying, its one a 3 programs that me, mam and dad will watch togeather and enjoy togeather and not argue over the Sky. Why has it gone? Were has it gone? Anyone know yet?

I'm sharing the shock and disgust at this scheduling fiasco. I wasn't even aware that the schedule had changed tonight. Someone at Discovery Channel needs to be educated in the ways of programme scheduling - without annoying thousands of loyal viewers.

Hopefully, with the rebroadcast of 3.1 later this week, the rest of the series will follow at that time... in order... to the end of the series.

i have looked at discoverys tv schedule up to the 27th of july, and they just keep repeating episodes 1 through 7, so what the hell there playing at i dont know, bunch of amateurs!!

update: managed to get hold of the phone number for the discovery channel based in scotland, they say discovery channel in london is responsible for programme schedules, the scotland office have emailed the london office because they dont even know whats going on, will keep you posted.

Pleased to read that i'm not the only one. I'm a media production student, and i cannot even begin to see why the "highly popular" series has been dropped? And to point to Discovery - let us have Discovery US too. At least they showed the season in full, in order - and at the same time on the same day for 12 weeks.

As a side note, the very kind and well mannered lady informed me that Season 3 is sheduled to re-commence from Episode 8 (they dropped it after episode 7) at the end of August. The decision was made at the address above. However, I did ask why this decsion was made and for the reasoning behind it. They could not give me an answer over the telephone. An answer can supplied if you write to the address above.

I would like to ask why this decision has been made and what the reasons are for having made such an unpopular decision?

Deadliest Catch has become an instant success in the UK and abroad and has a strong fan base.
We look forward to a fourth series. If we get a fourth series, can it not be shown on the same dates as it is in the US?

So glad my husband and I are not in the midst of a joint delusion. Why would they replace Sig and the boys with pirhana fish? Yawn! I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL AUGUST!!! God knows how I became addicted to this show but I am. Would be glad to hear from any other female fans. (Not Blake fans though - arrogant brat!)

Hey JuJuBean, Female fan here and i cant stand Blake is is just so cocky and a whimp. He always skips teh opillie (spelt sumut like that) season while everyone else goes. God he drives me mad. Th show is great though.

Unfortunately there was an error in the voice-over at the end of last week's show. Due to a delivery problem with our supplier, we have had to put the show on hold for the summer. You will however be pleased to learn that this programme is scheduled again at the end of August when we will be showing the remainder of Season 3.

In the meantime, we will be showing repeats of the series every Wednesday at 22.00 hours. We hope you will be able to watch.
