I would like to see more programmes on crafts and hobbies. It's all fishing and DIY these days. There used to be programmes like The Painted House and Crafts, featuring patchwork and quilting, making boxes and bags, hats etc. There are many crafts now enjoying a revival, with many new techniques and new materials. There is practicall nothing for women and children, and there are plenty of craftsmen who would also enjoy such programmes.

It's not just ladies that like crafts there used to be programmes about modelling (not photographic) but real models like the Supermodel series. Years ago there was a series on terestrial tv about it that gave me the inspiration to become a model boat enthusiast. I agrre there is too much Fishing if its that good give it a chennel all to itself. Oh you have (Renamed Reel Time)

i got to this link by putting in the lee and cheryl enquiry because here in the uk yet again they are playing the series tonight but once more there doesn't appear to be an ending to it. it is so frustrating. the same thing has happened with 'a place in greece' though i vaguely remeber seing the full set of that one, but i still wanted to see the last episode again- no chance - the other 5 or so episodes are repeated every weekend ad infinitum but the last episode left off. i think it is a ruse to keep us watching! anyway, Bruno, i will be your neighbour next month for we have bought our place in spain in the village where lee contemplated buying a water mill in which to start a snail farm, thank god he decided against that idea, i would HATE him as a neuighbour because snails are the lowest form of life to me and i really cannot see the point of them being on the earth.[surely we can find better things to eat in spain like almonds, oranges, lemaons, grapes etc?] and Bruno how can you hold your head up and call yourself by that awful epiteth, UGH! ademas, when we get to LA, ES we hope we won't bump into lee and cheryl! JoH

I agree totally with you Honey, I search everyday for something to do with sewing/quilting/crafts and (generally) women love and can teach thier children.
I would love to knitt/crochet for instance and I cannot go to college as I am a shift worker.
I am all for the men having Tommy and fishing but all the women seem to get is house cleaning and childbirth the only 'womens' channel being home and health.
I feel somewhat cheated that I pay for channels and there is practically nothing for most of us, I would LOVE! to be able to sit in front of the telly and watch someone teaching me to quilt while I try with them.
PLEASE! Can someone listen to us? Frowner

I agree with you Honey. I'd like to see more on watercolour, acrylic painting and portrait painting with programmes on technique such as new series with Charles Evans (old series currently showing on channel 251 DISCRT) and others. Programmes looking at how various professional painters work. Repeats (or even new series) of programmes such as "Watercolour Challenge" would be good.

What about tea bags? Not the perforated types you put in cups to make a warm beverage, the colourful ones that you fold and make greeting cards with, never seen anything on the TV about that.

I basically agree with all of the above who want more crafting programmes. Anyone remeber Railway Modeller with Bill Symes? Mebbe going back a few years too many !
If the powers that be really do look at these posts, come on! get your finger out and give us more variety! Mad .. what would be the problem in showing programmes for those of us (Men and Women alike) who love making models, painting, radio control models, woodworking, sewing, papercrafts and many, many more!

They went be to the UK for his operation, so far we do not know if it happen, they went back to Spain after 7 months, they now own a fishing place, they went back the snail farm is no more, they expected Tim to keep watch over the farm, I think Lee & wife just use people
