Hi all,
A long time ago a forum was setup like this and I posted a discussion topic about the quality of programming that realtime was providing and how poor it was.
Well it turned out to be one of the highest discussion topics and guess what! Nothing changed we are still bombarded with fishing & property programmes and a load of programmes that are re run on just about every other lifestyle channel available.
I would like to point out that I have nothing against fishing but do we really need so much of it on the TV?? RT Extra show it for months on end non stop - 24 / 7!!!
I see that it is starting yet another non stop run in October.If fishing is really that popular why not start a Discovery Fishing channel, it was done for cars (Motors) then we could see some of the good old programmes that we used to see when the channel was good (I refer to the old H&L days)you all remeber when we had shows like Ron Hazelton,Hometime, New Yankee Workshop - Daily (instead of weekends only) Bb Villa, American Woodshop, Cuttig Edge Woodworker, The Great British Woodshop and the list goes on.
If anyone is reading this and would like to see these programmes return maybe just maybe someone in Discovery may be bothered to actually read this discussion topic and do something about it, highly unlikely I am sure but you never know!
BTW I have noticed that the administrator Lawrence has resurfaced! I personally think this guy has no concept at all of a discussion topic, as all he did last time was defend the channel and do absolutely nothing about implementing some change to a very very poor channel.
