Hello,

Yes I have had work done at both Northside and Just Ink. Northside tattooists are very good, but expensive, £60 per hour and additional costs depending on placement of the tattoo.

I am in the process of getting a full sleeve done at Just Ink and Davey is a fantastic tattooist. Prices are £45 per hour (freehand). I would only go to Davey at Just ink now. Check out his work on www.myspace.com/martinfluke.
Oh he doesnt have a website yet as they are a new shop, they are booked up for almost a month in advance, so a website isn’t a high priority as I asked why he didn’t have a site. They are now making plans for one though so should have one soon.

Thanks for the info, Martiniman. Smiler
I've been in 'Just Ink' once, just browsing the flash and chatting with the lovely receptionist. Unfortunately i could only get a little glimpse of Davey's work on the screen of a digital camera. Your pics definitely help!

I'm undecided on the actual design I want but I really want to go with a traditional western style.

Anyway! thanks again for the info.

Yeah Rosy is lovely! It’s got the feeling of a family run business. Davey always says he wants to run the shop not as a money making scheme but his priority is people leave happy with there tattoos. I have had many hours of work done and also spent a fair bit of time in the shop and I have nothing but good things to say about them all. Justin is the other tattooist who has been off sick and is just starting to tattoo again.

Yeah I am going Japanese on my left arm, don’t know what to do on my right (I want 2 sleeves). I defo want some skulls and traditional work. Good luck with what ever you get done oh and when you see Davey tell him Martin recommended him on the internet hehe!

I have to agree with Martiniman, just started having my first tat at just ink by Davey (not my first tattoo, just my first at Just Ink) it is a great piece of work and will look fantastic when finished. I did not mind waiting to get in, I had to wait a couple of months but was definatley worth waiting for. We got started at 4 pm yesterday and he never finished till 10 pm. Now thats dedication. Second sitting to finish will be in 2 weeks and I can hardley wait to see the finished tat. Highly recommended.
