I didnt watch it in english because I live in bogota colombia, but I watched it in spanish and I saw many mistakes and omissions. here is a sample:
1) They say the top speed of the bf 109 was 560 km/h, but later they say that the top speed of the mustang was 720km/h?... damm they didnt say the bf 109g10 (who was the bf which actually fought the p51 had a top speed similar to the mustang... the p51b had a top speed of 700km/h and wut about the p51a... they didnt say anything about it. Dont show the mustang as it was the best ... of course the bf 109e had 560 but if u are going to compare it with the mustang compare it with an aircraft of the same year... What would u say if I compared the ta 152H with the p51a?.....lol
2)I know that the f86 sabre was very good but they didnt say anything about the mig 15.... put an american pilot in a mig 15 seat and he will kill the sabre..... The tv show is about the best airplanes not about the best pilots....
3)When they speak about the fokker dr.1 they did many mistakes, they say it was a fast airplane and actually it wasnt, can u believe they said it flown faster because it had a third wing..lol... besides there were only 320 dr.1 built.... I dont think it was the best fighter of the ww1. Because I love german planes I would say the Fokker DVII should be there ( it was the only airplane described in the versalles treaty).... It was a lot better than the dr.1. And wut about the camel? or the spad 7-13? DOnt say the dr.1 just because von richtofen died flyint it. Just as a note: Richtofen scored most of his kills flying the albatros D.III and D.II not flying the Dr.I.
4) The P51b-k was the best escort fighter but not the best all round fighter... the spit was the best local air superiority fighter but not the best overall, the f18 is clearly a very good overall fighter... u missed the fw190.. it was the most diverse used fighter (figher, fighter bomber, bomber, ground attack, and recconainse, interceptor.. ect. I am totally agree with the mig 21.... though they said it coudnt turn well I would say it actually turned better than the f4 phantom (because of the wing loading and the weight) So my list would be like this: 1. Fw 190 or spit
3. F18 or F15
4. Fokker DVII or camel
6. Mig 21
7. Mirage III
8. F-86 or mig 15
9. Mig 21 or f16
10. Bf109? p51??? Zero? yak 1-9?
