Steve Irwin Tribute Harley Davidson Motorcycle

Share in Steve's dream of building the world's largest Wildlife Hospital AND have the chance to own an awesome Harley Davidson Steve Irwin Tribute Motorcycle.

As a tribute to the original Wildlife Warrior Steve Irwin, Sunshine Coast Harley has generously donated an awesome Harley Davidson motorcycle to Wildlife Warriors. The motorcycle will be auctioned online with all proceeds going towards making Steve's dream of building the world's largest Wildlife Hospital a reality.

The Harley Davidson Sportster 883 is a one-off, which features customised air-brushing by Mallet Custom Art who spent over 160 hours perfecting the design.

Sunshine Coast Harley Dealer Principal, John Faithfull said he loved the work that Steve did and hopes auctioning the bike would boost fundraising for Wildlife Warriors.

"We wanted to do what we could to keep his dreams alive and by donating the Harley was my way of helping and thanking Steve and his family," John said.

The motorcycle will go up for auction at www.australiazoo.com.au on January 11, with bidding closing in March, in line with the opening of the new Australian Wildlife Hospital.

This unique hospital will treat over 10,000 injured wildlife patients a year, with treatment costs of over 2 million dollars every year.

Without the support of companies and individuals, Wildlife Warriors would not be able to carry out this life saving work.

I think they have corrected it as on the video it says 1962 to 2006 but the picture shows 1967 to 2006. It may be the way the light has caught the artwork.

I can see now on the video that is say's 1962. it appears that the original photo was taken before the gas tank was installed on the bike and it say's 1967...the important thing is they have the date right now. It is a beautiful bike.

I e-mailed Australia Zoo regarding the date on the tank, they replied and they also forwarded my e-mail to Wildlife Warriors, this is their reply....

Good morning,

Thankyou for your email and interest in the Steve Irwin Tribute Harley Davidson. I have just checked the actual bike and it definitely says 1962. I have checked the image on the website, and it does appear as though as ‘1967’, but I can assure you it does indeed say ‘1962’. Perhaps, it didn’t appear because it is written in metallic writing or the lighting? In any case, thankyou for letting me know as I will pass this on, and hopefully, they will be able to put a more appropriate image on the webpage.

I see from the youtube that they have the date right now and hope they put a better picture on the Australia Zoo website...I am sure it was a mistake that has now been corrected...Oh and Robert is too cute for words, that cheeky smile melts your heart... Big Grin
