I have just received an e-mail from ITV saying that they have no plans at the present time to show Steve Irwin programmes in the near future.

Hi AlisonAmeb, for some reason they only show the Crocodile Hunter Diaries when there is nothing else on, at the moment ITV are showing American Idol on a sunday afternoon, so I presume they wont schedule to show any until this series is finished, thanks for the info anyway its nice to keep track of these things.
Its such a shame that our TV stations don't honour Steve, by showing his programms, like America do...

If you have Sky, Discovery kids are showing the first 26 episodes of Croc files, its on at 9.05 am and repeated at 2.25pm every day..

M heart really goes out to you regarding all the problems you have with Steve's shows being televised. Have ya'll ever thought about contacting the newpaper or local TV station and try to get some publicity about why they do not show Steve's shows? Try to get someone in the media to get some answers. Do you have any local radio call in shows that you can ask these quesions? Can you get someone "on your side" to help fight the fight? It does not seem right that they are doing this. I know we have addressed this issue several months now.... but there has to be something that we all can do to help. I am more than willing to join in and help with the cause. Steve's shows continuing assure us that our children, and us too, will continue to hear his message... he can and will always be an influence on all of us. He sparks the interest and from that millions understand his message and many will choose directions in life to continue his work. It is very important to all of us everywhere across this planet on which we live, to understand and carry on!

Thanks for the info, ILOVESTEVE, I have set it to record. As Catbus has suggested, I wonder if all of us in the UK, wrote to the National Press or one of the TV listing magazines and asked the question as to why Steve's programmes are not aired more frequently. This is even more important now as our government seem to be trying to combat global warming.

Hi Alison, I agree with cat and yourself..
I have sent an email to ITV and filled in a feedback form, both asking why Steve's shows are shown intermittently, and why they can't be given a regular time slot.

Here is the link to the contact us info on the ITV website..

http://www.itv.com/page.asp?partid=5

If we all send them an email it may get them thinking..We can but hope..

i just recived an email from ITV. (they replied pretty quickly!) is is what they said

Thank you for your e-mail.

THE CROCODILE HUNTER DIARIES that have been shown recently are 2nd
repeats of Year 3 that went out originally in 2004/2005. As such these
episodes do nota always follow a set pattern. The one that was
transmitted today is in fact towards the end of the series and there are
no plans to show the remainder at the moment, but please check the
website www.itv.com periodically for updates.

Yours sincerely

I have also received an email from ITV..This is what I wrote..

Hello

I am a member of a forum dedicated to the memory of Steve Irwin, one of our discussions at the moment is 'why TV channels in the UK only show Steves shows intermittently'.
I am a huge fan of Steves and was heartbroken when he died, please tell me why you don't show his programs at a regular time each week. We only get the Crocodile Hunter Diaries on a sunday afternoon when there is nothing else on, and they are never shown in sequence.
I would love to beable to see a regular time slot given to these wonderful shows..
We need to learn about saving this planet and Steve was and still is a great teacher of conservation and education.

Thankyou

Nicola

This is what they sent me back..

Dear Nicola,

Thank you for your recent email.

I can confirm your comments have been noted and will be available for viewing by senior management.

Thank you for taking the time to contact ITV.

Regards

DUTY OFFICER – PR

Will keep you posted if I get any more replies..

I'm so happy they are showing another one on Sunday. With the last one they showed being final entry I feared they may not show anymore. The programme still had me in tears with it showing poor sweet Sui.

Samba's mum..I don't think I have had the pleasure of meeting you untill today.. Wink

I love watching Steve's programmes, but it's a real shame that here in Englang they don't show them as often as in the USA..I really wish we could get a regular time slot for The Crocodile Hunter Diaries, but with the Formula 1 Grand Prix season nearly upon us (I love this sport), I expect we won't get to see many more on a sunday afternoon..

I will keep checking the listings for info to post about these shows..
