Hey cat, life has slowed down a bit now coz my mum an dad are back however my guinea pig is now ill and i'm very worried about him. Hopefully he will be ok tho, Patrick saw him today and wasnt sure of the problem so he is gonna give his sedation/anastetic(sp?) tomorrow an fnd the problem and as most of u know Patricks a brill vet and I trust him completely so he will figure it out so I'm pleased it him doing it.
I will probs just be dropping in occasionally still for the next few weeks as my life is still busy with preparin for uni but once I have settled in I shall hopefully be bac to talk to u all more often.

Irwin Fan....I was having trouble catching up with you. I was reading under Pets...about your guinea pig....but was not getting details. I hope everything is okay. Please keep us informed. We all know how you feel...because when our little babies are not well...it hurts us. We want to make them all better. You are lucky that you have Patrick. It always is a tremendous help to completely trust someone to take care of our loved ones. Everything will be okay. I will say an extra prayer tonight.

hey guys, tank you all for your kind messages, unfortunatley today patrick examined Charlie and found that his teeth were all ok and he had no obvious lumps so it must be his kidneys or something. He gave him some injectionsand we now just have to try and get him to eat and see how things go but it doesnt look good. I'm glad Ptrick is taking care of him tho because hes taking really good care of him and I know he will do everything he can for Charlie.

Hey Irwin fan...sory to ear about Charlie...when my dogs or horses are sick I make a mash for them...for dogs it boiled rice with a tiny bit of hamburger, and carrots and for the horses its a bran mash with cocktial carrots, molessas, and celery. I know those may not help Charlie but its a thought. Thinking of you often....hang in there

Crystalslove - thank you for that tip with the rice and hamburger. I will try that with my dog. He has lost 2.4 kilos in weight and he is being very fussy with what he eats.

Irwin Fan - please keep us updated with Charlies progress - I am thinking of both you every night.

Hey guys, thank you all so much for your support, it means a lot to me. ILS Charlie was only 2 years old. Crystalslove thanks fr the tip we tried feeding charlie everything we could think of including syringe feeding him a paste type thing but he wouldnt even try to eat anything . Unfortunatley Charlie had to be put to sleep today, Patrick tried everything he could but nothing worked and Charlie was just sat in pain he wasnt even trying to do anything, I think he had given up. Patrick thinks his kidneys or something failed. It killed me to let him go but it was for the best, it wasnt fair to keep him alive when he was suffering that much. Everyone at work was really nice to me after that, they said I could go home early but I didnt want to so after a sit down and a cry I went back down and worked down back for a bit.
