Bextucker...I am deeply touched by your thoughfulness over this tradegy..its very hard for us to see with having Columbine in our back yard. When Columbine happened I went and got my kid early from school, and we all sat there watching it. Virginia is close to Cat, but I am not sure where she is from there. The day after Columbine I had to take my mom for medical tests in Englewood. It was erie as you didnt hear the everyday sounds of the street. Even the birds hushed their singing. Where is this world going? we have to have faith know that something good will come out of this. No I dont know what or how....and just looking at those pictures of rainbows...it seems we all know someone near or close to terriable things like this. I fear the worst is yet to come when we find out who all the people were. Just think if someone had reached out to this young man, perhaps things would have been different. I was given a gift for the work I do with the band kids. It was a poem that asked the question of what would Hitler, Mousilni, and Stalin had turned out differently if someone had reached out to them..it all comes back to respect such as Steve and Shaun taught us. I think you are right Bextucker I think Steve is very sad over this. I have decided not to let my kids see any more of it. They know it happened but some pictures and sounds are just to graphic. I hope others will limit what their kids watch too. Rosie O'Donnell said this morning that she feels numb right now over this shooting. We can never get that way....we must continue to care and lean on each other for strength. The Governer of Virginia said today how lucky we Americans are that we have people from all over the world praying for not only Virginia but the rest of the US as they did during Columbine..and I thought of all our Brit family here, I could think of all the names, and knowing so many of our friends here. In a way it made me feel kind of safe. Thats kind of corney though. They say 33 people had died maybe we should light 33 candles?

Shanon, I saw this earlier....the video from the storm chasers on that tornado in OK just a few days ago. Pretty frightening! Don't make us worry about you! Tell me you have a place to take cover! I know you love a thrill... but please do not try this at home!

Hello ILS Thank you for the pictures. Lot's of water these days in the Midwest and Plains. We have rain again today..lots. No tornado warnings though.

Good to hear no tornadoe's....We have rain also today, it absolutely threw it down at 1am this morning, but at least my grass is starting to go green again...Keep safe..

Hello crystalslove you are right it does. People can be evacuated, and homes can be rebuilt, but the damage that fire and floods do to the wildlife and the eco system in such a short span of time, can take years to come back. I will keep you in my prayers.
