Hello. Yes I had a very nice evening. Grilled Salmon with fresh Spinach,Tropical Salsa, Riccota and reading the beautiful Birthday wishes from my family here. Relecting on just how fortuante I am to know all of you! and talking with one our family members who was away for a couple days...and wishing that someday we all meet up and have a family reunion.

Croc Hunter named most popular on pay TV
Monday Apr 23 22:51 AEST
The accolades continued for the late Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin when he was named the favourite male personality on pay TV at the 5th Annual ASTRA Awards.

The subscriber-voted award for his work, aired on the Animal Planet channel, was accepted by Irwin's friend and manager John Stainton at a ceremony at the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney.

The conservationist and larger-than-life TV presenter also featured in the most outstanding news coverage category, which Sky News won for its piece, A Week That Changed Australia: The Death of Steve Irwin and Peter Brock.

The ASTRAs, run by the Australian Subscription Television and Radio Association, includes two types of award - the "favourite", voted on by viewers, and "most outstanding", decided by a panel of industry professionals.

Once again, Foxtel drama Love My Way dominated the most outstanding male and female actor categories with Dan Wyllie winning his third consecutive gong and Asher Keddie winning her first.

But the gritty drama which has moved from the W Channel to Showtime this year wasn't alone in claiming victory in the most outstanding drama category with TV1's acclaimed drama-comedy Stupid Stupid Man also winning, providing the ASTRAs with its first tie.

Considered by many to be more comedy than drama, Stupid Stupid Man is the first original Australian sitcom on pay TV and stars Wayne Hope as the editor of a men's magazine called COQ and Matthew Newton as his womanising features writer.

The gala awards featured guest appearances from Doug Davidson, a star of US soap opera The Young and The Restless - snapped up by Foxtel's W Channel when it was dumped by the Nine Network - boxer Anthony Mundine and the man who made us look at portaloos in a whole new light as Kenny, Shane Jacobsen.

Performers included Rockstar: Supernova's Australian runner-up Toby Rand with his band Juke Kartel, Australian-based New Zealanders Evermore and dance act Sneaky Sound System.

Discovery Channel factual series American Chopper won favourite international program while the show's stars, Paul Teutul Snr and Paul Teutul Jnr shared the favourite international personality or actor award.

Rockstar: Supernova was chosen as the most outstanding international program or event while Australia's Next Top Model, one of the first shows produced for pay TV before being courted by a major free-to-air network, won favourite program and most outstanding lifestyle, reality or light entertainment program. Both shows air on Fox 8.

After giving birth to her fourth child Sybella last month, Antonia Kidman was voted as pay TV's favourite female personality for her show, From Here To Maternity.

Nickelodeon was inducted to the ASTRAs Hall of Fame when it was awarded the channel of the year award.

Hello ILS... you are right! It is so good to hear such wonderful and great things being said! I loved watching Terri! It is good to see her laugh and smile when she talks about Steve.... even the 7 minute stuff!...I think she has a bit of that Steveo humor!

The ending video as a tribute to Steve was good... I could watch him every day... and I usually do...and I hope to be able to always! He just makes my heart smile...I love his passion and his attitude of life...I love that he so believed and knew what he was here to do and did it with so much Love and Enthusiasm. He truly made a difference...not only in each of our lives...but in our world!
