Take part in the world's biggest bird survey.

All it takes is an hour of your time, either Saturday 26th January or Sunday 27th January 2008, watching birds in either your garden or local park.

WOOHOO!! Over 25,000 people in th United Kingdom have taken part in Birdwath 2008 - with more to submit their results.

What a success, can't wait for the results to be published in March.

G'day ILS I am sitting at my window now watching the birds in the trees outside and swooping on the food I just put out..and I have help..3 of my cats are also watching. Thanks for the reminder and news Alison.

LOL..Bet they are loving that?...I had a butt load of house sparrows until the sparrow hawk came, they all nipped in the hedge, they soon come back out though, I have a lovely little Robin sitting on the table, he's been back and forth all day....

PARIS (AFP) - American zoologists say they can settle a long-running debate about how male hummingbirds are able to whistle at females of the species to try to entice them into mating.
