Firtst, the link I am posting is included in a post here, but if you did not go to the indirect links, you may have missed this! When we post information here, it so filled with links and more links... like once stated, it is like a room with so many doors, just waiting to open and explore and learn!
This link is a direct link to Terri and Jay Leno on The Tonight Show. Then scroll down to see the next one with Terri, Bindi, and Ellen DeGeneres. This one gives a little more of the interview than the previous posted link. I know my heart is smiling as I watch these videos. Bindi, is not an ordinary 8 year old! She too has a special purpose! So many times I have stated my belief in Steve's mission.... the reason God put him here. He knew... and he knew that his daughter would do the same. How can anyone not believe this? The world is finding out what the Irwin family is all about! And can't you feel Steve smiling too! He knew! http://www.tmz.com/2007/01/11/bindi-and-terri-invade-us/ This message has been edited. G'day from LA
BINDI Irwin shared the red carpet with Cate Blanchett and Russell Crowe was fashionably late at tonight's glamorous G'Day USA Penfolds Icon Ball in Los Angeles. More than 1,200 celebrities, business leaders, politicians and star-spotting Aussie commoners came together at the black tie event, which has become one of LA's hottest tickets. With seats selling for up to $US1,000 ($A1,285) each, the A-list guests included Sacha Baron Cohen, better known as Borat, John Travolta, Olivia Newton-John and Peter Fonda. Cohen skipped the red carpet, but later joined his girlfriend, Australian actress Isla Fisher for the festivities. The event was held at LA's Hyatt Regency Century City Plaza hotel to honour Crowe, Naomi Watts and the late Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin. Crowe, who won the best actor Oscar for Gladiator in 2001, was presented with an excellence in entertainment award while Watts, a best actress Oscar nominee in 2003 for 21 Grams, was honoured with an excellence in film award. Irwin, killed by a stingray in September last year, was treated to a special tribute, including an emotional video presentation by his wife Terri and eight-year-old daughter, Bindi. Travolta introduced the video presentation. Crowe, also a friend of the Crocodile Hunter, spoke fondly of his khaki clad pal, who in the previous three G'Day balls flew over from Australia Zoo in Queensland to be a guest. Crowe and Irwin were hoping to meet up at this year's ball. "It was only a small time ago we were planning on being here together and getting up to a bit of mischief," Crowe, who was the last to arrive on the red carpet, said. Guests snacked on a four-course feast by Sydney celebrity chef Neil Perry, who flew in the ingredients, including wild tiger prawns, yabby and grain fed beef, from Australia. The crowd was entertained by Australian rock duo, The Veronicas, as well as the Qantas choir. The G'Day festival is a federal government-sponsored event to promote Australian business, entertainment, arts, food and wine in the US. http://www.news.com.au/sundayheraldsun/story/0,21985,21057666-661,00.html On the website theres a nice picture of Bindi with the Crocmen. One-on-One: Bindi Irwin
ET's Thea Andrews sits down with Bindi and Terri Irwin for an exclusive interview! BINDI SUE IRWIN, daughter of the late "Crocodile Hunter" STEVE IRWIN, is in the States for the Australia promotion, G'Day USA, giving our THEA ANDREWS a chance to talk with Australia's newest star! Bindi recently made appearances on "The ELLEN DeGENERES Show" and "The Late Show with DAVID LETTERMAN," and she spoke at the National Press Club in Washington about her new TV series. "Bindi, The Jungle Girl" is a 26-part series that will air on the Discovery Kids channel. Bindi's mom TERRI explains why they traveled to the States only four short months since Steve's death: "Originally, Steve was invited to come do G'Day USA with Bindi. ... We decided to fulfill Steve's obligation, and Bindi and I are here to sing the praises of how much we love Australia." When it comes to her new show, Bindi tells Thea that her dad taught her to go for her dreams: "My dad taught me that one -- if you put your mind to something, you can accomplish it." And the 8-year-old who impressed the world with her touching tribute to her dad at his memorial service explains that while she wants a career in Hollywood, she doesn't necessarily want to act: "I'm just me. I'm me and that's it." Her mom follows along, joking, "So, it's Bindi Irwin, playing ... Bindi Irwin." Bindi says, laughing, "Yes! Bindi Irwin playing Bindi Irwin!" Despite the family's recent tragedy, Bindi has a cheerful attitude and says on receiving fan letters: "It makes me feel like I'm really special." Bindi says the letters have been helpful to her. "Some of the letters are so sweet," she tells Thea. "Like this one letter, she said, 'I'm very sorry about what happened to your dad. If I was you, I would be crying and crying, but you're so amazing that you're so bouncy and happy.'" She says that she is home-schooled, and her favorite subject is creative writing. She confesses that though she doesn't like math, she gets mostly A's. She also tells Thea that she saves up her allowance to buy products at her family's Australia Zoo, and right now she's saving up for a stuffed tiger. And like a typical young girl, Bindi would love to meet her favorite celebs. Her faves? "Hannah Montana"'s MILEY CYRUS, DAKOTA FANNING and "That's So Raven"'s RAVEN-SYMONE. http://www.etonline.com/tv/spotlight/38392/ |

Bindi wins LA's affections
BINDI Irwin made her US concert debut in front of 2100 people in a fast-paced animal extravaganza yesterday. There were no nerves for the energetic eight-year-old, who looked like a veteran as she sang and danced choreographed routines for nine of her wildlife-themed songs during the G'day USA Aussie family concert. "Wow, that was great," she said, smiling after her first song received loud applause. Her mother Terri and Australia Zoo director Wes Mannion also wowed the sell-out crowd at Los Angeles' Ahmanson Theatre, making a dramatic entrance on stage on a pair of camels. "You have not lived until you have kissed a camel," Terri told the cheering crowd of families. During the concert, Terri – the widow of Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin – brought a menagerie of animals on stage, including snakes, lizards, a tiger cub, baby orangutan, eagle and 2.1m-tall male red kangaroo. Terri, named a special ambassador for Australian tourism two days ago, enthralled the audience with stories about her late husband. The concert, staged as part of the annual G'day USA Week festivities to promote Australian tourism, also starred Australia's biggest entertainment exports The Wiggles, as well as performances by an Aboriginal dance group and the Qantas Girls Choir. The Irwins will continue their US tour and will appear on The Late Show with David Letterman in New York on Friday, speak at the prestigious National Press Club in Washington on Saturday and then perform in another Aussie family concert on Sunday in New York. http://www.news.com.au/couriermail/story/0,23739,21064885-953,00.html |

Bindi's live show ensnares captive audience
With boundless fervour, mother and daughter Irwin took to the stage in sunny downtown Los Angeles to wrap up their west-coast tour on a high, wiggly note. At a near sell-out concert on Sunday, eight-year-old Bindi and her mother Terri - back in their khaki after Saturday's gala dinner to honour the late Steve "the Crocodile Hunter" Irwin - were joined at the Ahmanson Theatre by Bindi's band, the Crocmen, the Qantas choir and the Wiggles. Nursing a variety of animals that were brought on to a colourful zoo-montage stage by Wes Mannion, the director of the Irwins' Australia Zoo at Beerwah in Queensland, Terri danced and bounded around in a tightly choreographed routine with Mannion. Primates would soon be introduced at her zoo, she told the raucous audience. Bindi - who was never far from Terri's side throughout the weekend's events, including the gala dinner - was equally energetic on stage, performing a medley of songs about the animals that were featured. The Wiggles, also bright and bouncy, presented a rainbow routine of songs and skits that included ballet and teenage dancers from Queensland. Many parents who were unable to persuade their children to join the interactive Wiggles show could not resist joining in themselves, getting to their feet and waving their arms in the air. At one point the audience were asked to bring out their mobile phones in the darkened auditorium, and the hall became awash in hand-held lights. The Qantas choir brought the afternoon to a close with a rendition of the unofficial Peter Allen anthem for expatriates, I Still Call Australia Home. The entire ensemble lined up for the curtain call in a riot of khaki, primary colours and choral white. The concert, presented by Tourism Queensland, Australia.com and Qantas Airways, was supported by the Discovery Channel. Among the audience were Marina Batliwalla and her husband Dr Behram Vaghaiwalla, who live in the Los Angeles suburb of Westwood. "We were fortunate to have met Steve Irwin in Los Angeles last year during Australia Week and were struck by Terri and Bindi's courage and determination to continue his vision," said Ms Batliwalla, an Australian who is the principal of Mercer Investment Consulting in Los Angeles. "Our baby daughter Avamehr was captivated by the camels from Australia Zoo and quite amused by the baby tiger being bottle-fed. "But I think Wags the Dog stole the show in her eyes. She regularly dances to the Wiggles's songs at home." http://www.smh.com.au/news/people/bindis-live-show-ensn...5/1168709679530.html |
