Irwin fan heres my message for the book:

Steve Irwin was and still is a great Wildlife Inspiration to many people around the world and will be in everyones (people who care about wildlife and want to make a difference like he did) hearts forever!!! He was a great role model cos he made people realise (including myself) that crocodiles, snakes and spiders aren't ugly, evil monsters (that people should be scared of) there nice animals that deserve respect and should be protected like the cute and cuddly animals!!! One of the most important messages Steve said was "Don't buy wildlife products." He was right, animals shouldn't be worn (as shoes or clothes). A snake skin looks better on a snake then on a person. I have become a Wildlife Warrior by donating money to Steve Irwin's Wildlife Warrior Charity and buying a Wildlife Warrior Wristband when I visited Australia Zoo in June (2007). Next time I go to Australia Zoo (hopefully next year between January and April) Im going to adopt a koala. Even though Steve isn't here in person, I believe his legacy will live on forever!!!

G'day gusy, with the help of Shanon I have written (well actually Shanon wrote it I just edited a few parts) an introduction message for the book from all of us I just wanted to see what you all thought of it. If you have any changes just let me know.
At the moment the message reads:

G’day

We are members of the Animal Planet UK Tributes to Steve Irwin Forum

We are a community that loves Steve and who over this past year, have dedicated ourselves to keeping Steve’s memory and dream alive.

Together our community, has compiled this book, filled with article of tributes to Steve and the heartfelt thoughts of the forum members who are now a family. We are a family who have grown, and continue to grow in our recognition that Steve’s dream is the core, spirit and soul of what Conservation and Preservation is really about, and what it means to our Global community. This recognition has encouraged us to become pro-active in what we do as individuals, and as a group to promote and continue the work that Steve began. We know that it is not important… it is “vital”, that we do all we can to see his dream, become a reality for all generations to come.

Cheers
The APUK forum family

Hi Irwin fan and Shanon. HOw many messages do youhave so far? Please can you add this for me?

Steve Irwin was and is a great role model for adults and children alike. What has stayed with me in the 12 months since that awful day is not just his enthusiasm for wildlife conservation, but his whole energy and zest for life. He was just a "normal guy" but a normal guy with total passion for everything he did.
He really was and still an inspiration in many areas of conservation.
Steve did so much for wildlife I think we all owe it to him to do our bit, however small.
Together we can make a difference,Steve's legacy can and will live on.

Steve, you will never be forgotten you will always be missed. God bless.

hey MrsM, good to hear from you and thank you for this wonderful message. I'm not sure exactly how many messages we have I think its about 12 individual messages and the quite a few articles about public tributes to Steve. If you would like I will get your email address off Shanon and send you a copy of the book when it is finished.
And thank you all for allowing me do this, I hope you all like the end result

I think it can be for everyone at the zoo but mainly for the Irwin family, I think I'll address it to them and they can decide if they want to share it
