Although it sounds like not all of the reptiles were found, atleast they found most of them. Hopefully they will find the rest of the reptiles and will prosecute the person/ people responsible for this sellfish and careless act!

nice to know that some of them are safe and back home but a shame the other repitles are still missing i hope they find them soon
I read they think they were stolen to be sold on the black market. how could anyone do this and to take them from a place that is used for education is discusting. Steve woiuld be horrified but maybe he was looking down and guiding the police to the ones he could save

bright blessings and hugs

This story about Knut the polar bear has been ongoing since his birth, because he was rejected by his mother he now relies on humans and has been hand reared, extremists in Germany claim Knut's cuteness is against his own 'animal rights' and he should be put to sleep..

Right getting on my soap box about this one
Does that mean that they want to 'put to sleep' every animal that is hand reared? some of the worlds most endangered animals have been hand-reared.
And what a cutiie Knut is Smiler Polar bears are endangered as the ice caps that they live on are melting and the planet is getting warmer and with out help from zoo's etc there will be none left. the human mum for knut is doing what so meny other around the world do every day, helping an animal that needs it
These animal rights extremists have lost the plot, yes stand up for animal right give them a voive but please let those that are trying to help carry on doing the wonderful job they are

right that me done ranting
bright blessings and thanks for sharing the pictures ILS

Can I join you on your soap box blossom.. we need to protect this animal not persecute it, surely if Knut is going to stay at the Zoo then it won't matter that he has been hand reared, they need to get there priorities right, this is an endangered animal, every animal is precious, a hand reared one is even more special in my eyes..

Hello ILOVESTEVE and blossom How are you today? Thanks for these articles ILS. A spokesman for the Animal Rights group stated that "Feeding by hand is not Species appropriate" What is not appropriate is putting a healthly beautiful animal to sleep for any reason. I agree blossom some of the folks who call themselves Animal Rights Activists need to get their priorities straight. And they state that he will suffer the humilation of being treated as a domestic pet, Hello? How will Knut living in the Zoo, be any different than any other Polar Bear that lives in a Zoo, other then he was given help in the 1st months of his life.

welcome up Smiler Shanon hi to you and i'm good thanks. been keeping busy and warm

Knut is going to live his life out at the zoo and giving him a chance in the first month is wonderful. if he and other orphans like him had been 'Left for nature to take it's cause' like has been surgestsed then children would not get to see such wonderful animals.
it just makes me mad Mad

We are surposed to be helping wildlife not condeming them to death just becouse a loving human has helped the survive. we wouldn't surgest doing that to a baby a month after birth so why should it be surgested for an animal?
