Both these subjects are close to my heart..being from a "drought" state I know how horriable it can be. I think of the zoo and how much water they must need...I too will pray for them all on the 26th. I would ask that all of us take a moment of silence for the drought on Novemeber 26. Alot of the year we are on water restrictions, and my yard has never recovered.
About the fire...my beloved state has aways endured fires. I cant tell you how bad it is to go out your front door, and be able to breathe smoke, and ashes. Or to see the mountians burning out of control. We need another moment of silence today for the fires that are burning, and for the people fighting them, and of course for the animals...

Hi everyone. I had heard on the radio this morning, that this is the longest drought in Australia's history. Being from Southern Cal, a state that is no stranger to drought,or consuming fires. I will pray for all in peril from fire, and or lack of enough water.

Thanks shanon for bringing that to our attention. Let us hope that it breaks real soon. There's so much suffering in this world, we don't want to see anymore

My thought's are with them too. My husband is a firefighter and he's seen many forest fires. They are dreadful things. I do hope everyone's OK and the rain comes soon.

Here is a weather link that should update hourly to keep us informed on the drought conditions in Australia. We will all continue to pray for rain.

Smiler Good news everyone, all the animals at Australia Zoo are safe and sound.I emailed Australia Zoo the other day asking if the animals were ok and they replied to my email today.Heres a copy of my email from Australia Zoo:

Dear Natasha,
Thank you for your email. You can put however you would like to write Bob's name on the envelope, as long as it states who it is. The address on our website is where you can send the greeting cards. There have been a lot of fires around the Sunshine coast area recently but fortunately the fires have not come close to Australia Zoo so all the animals are safe and sound. Thank you for all your support.

Kind Regards`
