His death has been a great shock to me and I hope the work that he put in to protecting wildlife carries on after his passing. I'm sure you will all join me in mourning this great man. This guy was a legend. R.I.P. Steve Irwin.

I am deeply sadened by the loss of such an amazing man.
Not only did he teach us all interesting facts about animals he taught us how to respect them. And that's what i always admired most about him.

He's such a lengend, and he always will be.
I hope his free spirit and amazing passion for wildlife will continue to grow within his two beautiful children.
Terri, Bindi and Bob - I'm so sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you all xxx

We feel that we have lost a friend. We felt as if we had known him for years. He was such an enthusiastic, down to earth bloke and were gutted when we heard the news this morning. He will be sorely missed. Lets hope that in a few years time Bindi and Bob will be there to take over his mantle. Love and best wishes to his family.

So very, very sad to hear. Heartfelt condolences and prayers to his wife, children and all his family and close friends. Without meeting him, we got to know a truly remarkable man. He was the crazy and adorable son, brother, uncle, or mate. God is in his heaven and so is Steve Irwin now, a son of nature with a passion that was refreshing, honest and inspirational. Only the good die young, the Great die even sooner.

Steve Irwin was truly a phenomenal man, an inspiration to conservationists the world over he has set a precedent that will be aspired to for generations to come, his tragic death has come as a horrible shock to me and although I never had the pleasure of meeting him I remain in awe of his and Terri's never ending crusade to invest everything they have into promoting and creating new and exciting conservation projects. My thoughts go out to his friends and family who have helped and supported him through everything he did - Steve is and will always be a hero to the hundreds and thousands of animals he has helped over the years.

I would just like to say first: to his family, friends, colleagues, and fans, that I give you all of my thoughts and prayers.
Also, you have my deepest sympathies.
Steve Irwin was a ledgend, a hero that changed the world more than anyone can imagin, and will be greatly missed.
He wanted to be remembered for his passion and enthusiasm for conservation, and I just hope that his legacy will live on.
It's hard to imagin what life will be like without him from now on, but all we can do is take each day one step at a time and keep him in our hearts and memories.
In our memories he will live on, and he will live forever.
Steve, thank you so much for what you have taught me, you've changed my life.
Thank you so much for your passion and dedication to everything.
You were truly a Wildlife Warrior.
Rest in peace, and God bless you and yours.

I would like to,as many others, offer my blessings to the Irwin family and Steve's many co-workers.I think that he was a brilliant, enthusiastic, though controversial man who enlightened and inspired many around the world.I remember watching the croc man every night with my mother, something that brought us together and further inspired my love for animals.Furthermore,I must say one thing in respect to the croc man:CROCS RULE!
