Hi
i had this tattoo done on my stomach back in 2006 the week steve had his tragic accident
and thought it was time people took a look.
now no matter where i go people will see it and straight away remember him and what great work he did for conservation.

G'day croc 1, let me ask you a question..how do you feel about how it looks? If you are happy with the way it looks...it really doesn't matter what others think. It is apparent that you are great fan of Steve's. As I said before it is an extraordinary tattoo.

G'day croc 1....As a Steve Irwin fan it wouldn't be my first choice as a personal memorial to him, but that is my opinion....You obviously like tattoos and it is a good likeness, as long as you are happy with it, then that is all that matters...

Hiya ils.
what would be your first choice of a personal memorial to steveo,
the reason i chose a tattoo as a memorial is its permanent and no matter where i go in the world i will never forget him and all the good hes done for this world, and how he affected my life and made me a better person, father and husband.

Steve is and always will be in my heart, my memorial to him is simple...To continue his dream, cliche maybe, but that is what Steve was about..Listen!,Learn!,Share!....Together we can make a difference to this world.

croc 1 You don't need validation from anyone...you have chosen a tattoo of Steve to honor him and his work. It doesn't matter that people do or do not recognize him. You know who it is, and what he means to you personally. What a great testament...you recognize all he has done for the world and he has made you a better person, father and husband..does it really matter so much that some ask who it is?

Hi there, Croc1 have just looked at your tattoo and my thoughts were WOW! it is amazing. What a brave thing to do and must have been quite painfull. I can see that it is Steve Irwin without a doubt.

All the best and take care.

thanks mate,
with comments like yours, its goes right to my heart.
painful wasnt the word. its just nice to know people recognise him (tattoo) and what hes done for this world,so then all that pain i went through wasnt for nothing.

ive been thinking about what youve said since you posted your comment.
of course it matters to me if people recognise that my tattoo is steve irwin,if they dont then all the pain i went through was for nothing.
i want people to see it and remember him for what he did and what he stood for

Hello croc one...perhaps I misunderstood the main reason you had the tattoo made in the 1st place. Steve will always be remembered for what he did, what continues to be done and all that he stands for with or without your tattoo. I am not saying this to be unkind, only to remind you that the pain wasn't for anything..you stated that it serves as a reminder to you of the better person he has made you in your personal life with your loved ones...so even if not one person was to recognize who it is...would you still say it matters? If someone doesn't recognize him..so what? If you are satsified with the result and what it means to you personally then wear it proudly no matter what others think or say.

do you know what shannon its comments like yours
that makes me regret putting it on here.
the pain wasnt for nothing thats easy for you to say when i went throught it,of course im happy with it.tough if i wasnt really
its serves of a reminder of a couple of things
most people are not blessed like us and will not remember him everyday like we do.

Hello croc one...I believe you put it on here because you yourself were having doubts about the tattoo, you asked for our opinions and we gave it to you, would you have rather we had lied and said 'It's brilliant, got to get myself one'...At first you agreed with Shanon (one n), what may I ask changed your mind?...Does it really matter what anyone thinks, do you go around with your t-shirt off all day hoping people will comment on it?, (we live in the UK a bit cold for that don't you think)...It is your way of remembering Steve...Good for you!!
