At 15in long, is Goldie the biggest goldfish in Britain?

There are big fish in small ponds and small fish in big ponds.
And then there's Goldie. He's a titan in a tank of his own.

Is this the ultimate (and most dangerous) infinity pool in the world? The natural water hole perched on the edge of the Victoria Falls

It must be the ultimate infinity pool for thrill seekers - this natural swimming hole teeters on the lip of one of the world's biggest and most dangerous waterfalls.

As millions of gallons of water plunge over the lip of Zambia's Victoria Falls, bathers can dive into the Devil's Pool and swim right up to the edge. A rock ledge even allows the bravest to peer into the abyss 360 feet below.

Elephants warm to new diagnostic tool

WITH its brilliant colours and distinctive shape, it could be the design of a funky new T-shirt or a quirky company logo.

Instead, the technicolor image was generated by infra-red thermography, which is being used to diagnose health problems in elderly elephants at Taronga Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo in western New South Wales.

Mop-top mutt set to wipe the floor with the other pups at international dog show

Crowds at a dog show made a double take when they witnessed what looked like an escaped mop-head leaping hurdles and bounding through an obstacle course.

But this is no mop - it is in fact a pedigree Hungarian sheepdog named Fee, who will be making a bid for stardom at an international dog show in Germany, next week.

This croc's trouble

Rangers who caught a two-metre long crocodile that attacked a dog at a north Queensland beach say the reptile was a "juvenile delinquent" intent on causing trouble.

Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) officers captured the 2.2-metre crocodile near Clifton Beach, north of Cairns, on Saturday morning, a week after it attacked a 30kg ridgeback cross walking with its owner.

The dog escaped with bites to its legs.

Waddle I do now? Stumpy the four-legged duck gets used to life on two feet

First he had four, then three, and now he's down to two. And hopefully for Stumpy, that'll be where it stops.

The duck that captured hearts when he was born with four legs is now living life as a normal bird after losing both his extra limbs.
