Hi everyone, i've just returned from my trip in Namibia......WOW. I had an amazing time, I fed, brushed and even had two cheetah licking my arm ! Although there were no rescues, to come so close and actually been able to feed cheetah out of my hand was amazing. There were so many highlights, I think the best was walking with the lion in the bush.

There were also two crocs which I spend alot of time watching and wishing I could have fed them like Steve did, but I didn't ! I think there was only one person who could do that job.

If any of you get a chance then I would highly recommend doing this project. The website is www.harnas.org - I will definately be returning.

This is so exciting. Pictures? Welcome back. We really have missed you, and Jazz is back, and MrsM, and Susanna. Crystalslove is in California until next week. Make sure you visit the topic portrait, a lot going on there. Can't wait to hear more about your trip!

Hi ILOVESTEVE, yes the meerkats are so cute. They are really inquisitive. I was cleaning out their cage one day and they were nibbling at my laces on my trainers and they were digging holes were I was standing, it was really bizarre but the best thing was hand feeding them. They are so gently and, if you watch meerkat manor, they make all those noises.

I really want to go back !!!

Thanks Shannon. I specifically bought a semi professional camera a couple of years ago so that I could get some good shots. I'm glad you like them.

What a brilliant idea, that is a fantastic birthday present.

I'd never really given much thought to meerkats but now they are another one of my favourite animals !
