I have an idea. I hope everyone agrees with this! I have noticed that since we are a close circle of friends here, that we notice when someone is "not here" for a a few days or so, and being the wonderful kind people we are, we are anxious to welcome them back! I thought how lovely it would be to use this topic to say our hellos, and what has been going on, welcome new members, etc. This way we are sure to wish everyone well and of course SAY HELLO! And of course, not miss anyone as they are catching up on all the posts.

Good morning to my old friends, new friends, and the friends that we are yet to meet. I would like to share a statement that was made by the Poet Ralph Waldo Emerson;

What lies behind us
and what lies before us
are tiny matters compared
to what lies within us

Hi everyone, I've not been at this forum for around 6 weeks, so feel a bit "new", but just seeing the message from Catbus made me feel welcome! I've been reading some of the posts, there's some interesting things on here but it would take ages to catch up with it all!
I hope everyone is keeping well and looking forward to Christmas.

Thanks Shannon, are you well? I am looking forward to Christmas but am feeling a bit down today as it's the 1st anniversary of my Uncle's death. I started thinking about Steve too and that's what led me here!
The statement you posted is so true!

Mrs M welcome back. I am sorry to hear of your Uncle, and I am thinking of you. You have my {our} deepest sympathies, and please come back if you need to talk, or just want to share things.
Susanna, I know it was 14 years ago, but you too have my, {our}symapthies. You are not babling. This is a safe place to come to and talk about the things that matter....as we are well aware some folks dont "get it". Was your dad sick {if you want to talk about it}? I am sure he is with Steve smiling on you and your wonderful family. My dad was. This is our 2 nd Christmas without him. I am sure it is still hard on you, and you have friends here who care!! Be extra nice to yourself, and know we are here!

Hello Everyone and good evening. Isn't this just a great idea. Susanna You are not babbling. My Dad went home 5 years ago in September and my Mom met him there 1 year ago in November, and her youngest brother follwed one day behind her. For those of you who have already read this on one of my previous post, I hope will will not mind if I post it here.

This is an Eskimo legend:

Perhaps they are not stars,

But rather openings in Heaven, where the love of our lost ones pours down through, and shines upon us to let us know that they are happy.

You don't ever get over it, you draw comfort from knowing that they are held safely in your heart. Crystalslove is right. We do care very much, and you can always feel safe sharing your thoughts.

Shanon,
You too are in my thoughts about your folks. I will burn some sage, and candles in honor of them.

My heart smiles because this is what friends are for!

MrsM, I am glad to see you back on the forum. Please visit us often. I hope being with good friends has made your day easier.

Susanna, I know we all can understand, but always know that what is in the heart, will always be. We are fortunate to experience and share that kind of love in our life.

Crystalsove, you are so kind and caring.... you and your family remain in my prayers.

Shanon, your stories are wonderful, no matter how many times! They all have deep and beautiful meaning and touch my very soul! I love the stars and the mooon in the night sky! And I truly believe this about the twinkling stars! Matter of fact, I am going to step outside right now and feel the love and smile back!

Thanks to all for using this space! I think it will be good for us all!

Hi everyone! Thank you all for your welcoming comments.
Catbus - You are right - reading all these posts really did make things easier.
As Crystalslove said it's good to be with people who understand.
I sometimes find it difficult to talk about things with family, but a lot of it could be down to English reserve! Some people seem to think that if you don't talk about things they just go away, so I really appreciate being able to talk to you all on here.

Susanna - My thoughts are with you today
