I would like to ask about the song that was sung at Steve's memorial. "True Blue" I am wondering if there is anyone who knows where in the States to get a copy of it. What is the special meaning of it? All the people there were singing it: I understand it was Steve's favorite song. Once again forgive my American Ignorance. It seems that the song helped pull the people together. Thanks

I would like to know too.... I have been searching for the lyrics so I can download a copy. I did not catch all the words, but I know it has special meaning to Steve. What about our Australian friends on this forum..... can you give us some information on "True Blue"?

I just found John Williamson's song 'True Blue" on Limewire, which is a music source. I can understand why it is special to Steve. I also found a website on John williamson that includes a tribute to Steve.

I have this song on my computer (parents had cd). I grew up with John Williamson as a small kid. I'd be glad to burn it (and others if there's a wish) for the cost of the cd and postage...?

the following is a copy of the email I received from John Williamson. I thought everyone would be interested in his message as well as his new CD.

G’day Cathy:

I appreciate your great response to “True Blue”. It was an honour to sing for Steve Irwin and his beloved family. We must never let his message die.

My new recording “Wildlife Warriors: It’s Time” is designed to encourage people to carry on Steve’s legacy (CD to be released November 22).

Kind regards

John Williamson

Before logging on got an email from Amazon. I ordered True Blue - the very best of John Williamson and it's now on it's way.
You can also download this song and To Change this World off iTunes. Before wathcing the Memorial I'd never heard of this guy (coming from the UK) but now I think he's brill. One more good thing that Steve has left
Hope this helps

Nicky I'd never heard of him too. I got the greatest hits after I saw him on the memorial and it's a really Aussie CD, some fun songs on it. I definately will be ordering this new one. We'd like to go and live in Australia, we knew a lady who moved there and she loved it. I could visit the zoo(which as always wanted) and visit my favourite soap Neighbours.

Yep,It's John Williamson. What a coincidence that you like Neighbours too,,I'm a big fan of Harold Bishop. I was touched how Alan Fletcher was soo moved over Terri, I'd like to know if he was a fan of Steve's.
