Hi, Models Direct IS a scam. It is a franchised company that sells standardised templated letters and websites to people willing to take up the scam. For a fixed sum, the franchisee will get a 1) Cheap Website, 2) WORD.doc templates, 3) A dodgy head office based somewhere to look legit (Probably a shelf company with a mobile phone)
To answer your question, NO Models Direct is NOT legit. Once they have enticed you into joining and you have sent them a picture of your child, they will inundate you with calls and a template letter saying how 'amazing' your child is. Then, miraculously, your child has been 'selected' by a national committee for upcoming jobs. Of course you're excited and full of hope for your little precious one. THIS IS WHAT THEY PREY ON! By this time, they've hooked you. So pleased are you that your child has been 'selected' you opt for a £128/- 3yr contract. You pay up with all the faith and confidence of a proud young mother. You get a letter and some junk mail. You never hear from your contact again. You call the head office and get a recorded message, you log on to the internet and find dozens of forums highlighting other mothers who have been scammed by Models Direct. You feel upset, you want to get your money back...but it's too late. You fume for a week or two and devise all sorts of ways to sue them, but the amount of £128/- is too little to get so frustrated about, or take action. Therein lies the business of Models Direct. My advice to anyone reading this...take Dad and the wee one to the Safari park or the Zoo and have a great, memorable day out. DO NOT get SCAMMED by Models Direct! |
