1994 F1 McLaren
I am partial to the 1965 A/C Cobra. I built the one in my avatar, and yes it is a replica. Steve If you can stand the tuition, you learn more from failures than you do from successes. |

At the time, my Austin princess was the bee’s knees. I traded it in for a Mini Clubman, the culture shock was amazing, I felt very posh…till some bird crapped on the bonnet…
never took her out again… |

The best car would be entirely subjective, what would be the best for me might not be the best for you.

Yea, nice, a mate had one and ruined it by customising it, he put fur round the dash board, looked horrible, it was like driving round inside an giant beaver! |

No but seriously, that Princess looked very sleek, its interesting that I don’t see many in those car rallies, none at all in fact, I know its not exactly a vintage model, but they do have semi modern cars at those places, the engine in mine wasn’t brilliant but I was never bothered about speed, maybe that’s why they aren’t collectors items now, let down by the engine. |

the best old car was the one that the police used to have in the 80's, can't remember the darn name but ROVER V2000 springs to mind, had a real 'nice' look to it!

I wouldn't say it's the best car, but for nostalgic reasons I love the 1977 Trans Am shown in "Smokey & The Bandit", because my daddy had one. I loved that car, my stepmother wrapped it around a tree, unfortunately.
I have a Toyota Avalon, I love it--great mileage(I drive a lot in state)--no problems whatsoever, and it's app 6 years old now--just routine maintenance, had to get the A/C fixed once(A/C is a must in my hot humid area, it's not a luxury)--knock on wood! I'm trading it in this year, and I want another Avalon, but I want more horsepower this time. I love my car! But I wish I still had my daddy's 77 Smokey edition Trans Am. |

A 1969 Chevy Nova SYC Yenko COPO. Take a car about Cortina sized, send it with no engine in it (and the biggest engine you've got along with it in a crate) to a dealer willing to create a 'special' (Cos you don't want to be seen putting your biggest engine into your cooking model car) and voila! Power (7.2 litres of it!) to the people and not at a price that no-one could afford
Haynes manual spanner rating 5 = Goodbye knuckles |

I agree that in many aspects you are right but we can ask the more accurate questions as what is the car that is the most fun to drive etc.
All the criteria are right it all depends on the questions you ask. ____ http://www.antiquecarsclub.com/ |

Either the Aston Martin DB5, classic design thats full of character and still extremely good looking.
Or, the Audi Quattro. I know its a big jump, but it was the first car to revolutionise 4 wheel drive, and thats proved invaluable in such cars as the Porsche 911, and Cayman. |

THE BEST CAR EVER MADE?
the most famous? the most pratical? the most emotive? the most economical(to run and repair)? how long must a car be known to compare it to the wealth of car designs though history? the list goes on.... with all these considerations in mind...THE BEETLE..herbie...the love bug...whatever...wins my vote.. as a child ,memories of yelling `PUNCH BUGGY` and taking a swipe at my brother come to mind..ahhh fond memories..i can`t think of another car that has such a culturalreaction associated to it.... most emotive car for me...the aston martin DB4 most practical....no idea most famous...the mustang |
