More Leepu & Bernie!!!

Absolutely brilliant viewing, I enjoyed it so much…

Though I was sorry to see the upset re: fire at garage.

Last month I was going to cancel my TV subscription, which is through Virgin Media, until I saw the trailer for chop shop. I had previously seen Bangla Bangers and thought that was some of the best TV I had ever seen…So I kept the virgin media package going just for chop shop, and I am not disappointed!

I demand discovery channel plan for another series of Leepu & Bernie! Or I'll cancel my subscription!

Keep going Bernie & Leepu!!!

what a cracking show. first watched leepu and bernie a couple of weeks ago on bangla bangers and thoroughly enjoyed it.
am pleased they doing thier thing in london, allthough the fire was a very sad accident. makes a change to see someone as passionate about thier work as leepu and bernie.
takes a lot of guts to do what they are doing on a budget.
good luck and very best wishes to the pair of them.
roll on the next episode.... Smiler

Hi to all,
could any one tell me why this show is on tv, is this all the uk has got to offer.
State side theres, overhaulin, American Chopper, Boyed Coddington, Recks to riches The Good version. the list goes on and on.
The worrying thing is that the uk custom market has died and all we have to offer as a slim chance of hope is Leepu, The MASTER CREATOR.
Shame.

i think the guys have great chemistry and leepu is amazingly talented.it all makes for great tv however if chop chop is a real commercial venture they need to think harder about the kind of stuff they do. sumo was great if a little larger than life but the red noddy limo with the boy racer seats was quite tacky and the surf car was plain ridiculous. how would it even go around a corner. i was saddened to see that none of their projects have sold apart from the jag based one (very cool) but not really surprised. what they need to do is more of the supercar type stuff like in bangla bangers ep1, only based on proper cars.

Guys dont flame me here, I just need to say the following

After I have seen that the Chop shop cars are actualy being sold to the general public I have a grave concern which I need to bring to the attention to the makers of the program.

While I'll be the first to admit the show is funny and entertaining....

There is a fundermental engineering problem with the design of All the cars that use the extream wheel spacers. So much so its just a matter of time before some one has a serious accedent.

Wheel bearings are just not designed to cope with the extra leverage these spacers will apply when cornering.

The cars were just not designed to cope with the amplefied stress the spacers will cause....

they may be road legal......BUT they are not safe... ASK BMW in the case of the sumo!!!!

Regards
Fin

AS A CURRENT OWNER (AND A FULLY QUALIFIED AUTO ENGINEER) OF ONE OF THE LATEST CHOP SHOP CREATIONS I WOULD LIKE TO ADD A COMMENT ABOUT YOUR CONCERNS, FIRST OF ALL I THINK YOU ARE MISSING THE POINT HERE, THESE CARS ARE BUILT AND DESIGNED FOR THE TV WOW FACTOR, IF YOU WANT A DAY TO DAY RUNAROUND I DONT THINK YOU CAN BETTER AN AUDI A4,AS A SHOW CAR THESE ITEMS GET HUGE PRAISE AND IF DRIVEN IN A CORRECT MANNER AND GIVEN REGULAR INSPECTIONS THE SPACERS OR ANY OTHER MODS SHOULD NOT FAIL, MADE FROM HIGH GRADE WELL ENGINEERED MATERIALS THE SPACERS ARE TOP PRODUCTS AND SHOULD DO THE JOB THEY HAVE BEEN DESIGNED FOR...

No point missed on my behalf!

You are correct, its not the spacer / mods that Im concerned will fail, its the original running gear that will.

Huge prase and the fact it is a show car makes little difference if the cars are being run on the public road.

As a fellow engineer you will fully understand parts fail, and the spacers increase the stress of a number of parts

Ive said my bit and will leave the subject alone.... I will continue to watch the program.

i came into the motor trade some 40 years ago and i own 3 jag's at this time a xjs a xjc and a searies 2 4.2 so i think i have some idear of what i am saying, anybody who knows anything about jags will know that what has been dune to that xjs is just plain stupid it may look ok (to some people)but please putting that size spacer in is not just dangerase it must make the car drive like an old pig the same gos for the beemer that too must drive like an old cart.
if you just want to look at it thats fine ,but i think that if you take it out on the road some thing will brake and i for one would not like to be behind you when it does, come to that even on the same bit of road.
sure the show is entertaining but please dont any one try to copy what is beening done, its not that i care about what you do to your self, its that it could be my freinds or family near any of these cars when they go bang ..
the engineer who made those spacers should allso be held responsable when some thing gos wrong and all for what 5 minets of fame and a hand full of silver (shame on you)
