This story of a shark off the coast of Cornwall must be made up. I don't believe in sharks any more than I believe in fairies, Santa Claus or Amy Winehouse.
I went to South Africa last year and booked myself on a Shark Diving excusion. It took a three-hour journey in a rickety old minibus from Cape Town to get there, then a boat took us to "the spot that all the sharks hang out". Four hours on a rocking boat making me feel ill and there wasn't even the sniff of a shark. A couple on the boat told me that they had also been the day before and had also come back without coming even close to a shark. Three more travel sickness-inducing hours back and it completed the most disappointing day I have ever had on a holiday. I've not met anyone who has seen a shark outside of an aquarium, so it's led me to think that, quite simply, sharks do not exist. |

Sorry! I hate to disappoint you but I've seen sharks in the water - not Great White's I'll grant you, but hammerheads, oceanics, black & white tips and even a thresher twice! Then again my name is Santa so...

Hey Shirls,
Just out of curiosity who did you go with??? I can tell you that most of the boats out in Gansbaai( if that is where you went from. which sounds like to me),don’t know what they are doing and are only doing it for the money! Unlike and next time go with these MIKE RUTZEN & SHARK DIVING UNLIMITED. (http://www.sharkdivingunlimited.com) One of the best. |

this board is hilarious. of COURSE sharks exist. The New York Aquarium has one.. and what, do you think that you are omnipotent that if you haven't seen it, it doesn't exist? you believe in gravity, no?
