Can any one reconmend a book on the basics of fishing , ie from the setting up of the rod and line

welcome to the club,you might want to read coarse fishing:A step by step guide, by Tonymiles or the little book of fishing tips by michael devonish or if your realy green sorry butt there is fishing for dummies/how when where to catch by Peter marninsky.Hope these help.

Thanks for the tips will try Fishing of dummies and work my way from there.
