June 2009 article

quote:
Figures seen by the Guardian before a meeting of more than 80 countries next week, show that Norway, Denmark and Iceland propose to hunt 1,478 whales compared to Japan's 1,280 in 2009. This would be an increase of nearly 20% by Europe on last year.

This is going on right now.

Kapitan Bumbles and the Sea Monkeys nowhere to be seen.

Its because if "captain bumbles & the sea monkeys" tried anything with Norwegian or Icelandic whalers he would be run into the ground - they target the Japanese in Antarctic waters because of the seclusion - no authorities to arrest these pirates.

The Sea Shepherd can't be in two places at once?, but a least they are doing something constructive unlike you, it's easy sitting on the side lines bleating but takes a real human being to fight for his conviction, as they say empty vessels make the loudest noise

A Troll now that's not very nice is it and What is there not to understand about "at least he's doing something ? it's quite simple.
I notice you have 300 + posts to your name, I bet there all a whinge at something, question, are you the mouth piece for the Japanese whaling industry?, you have certainly have posted a lot of comments in such a short space of time or is it you don't have any friends and live your life behind a computer monitor? try going out and socialise you might discover some friends and humanity (vider des vaisseaux font le bruit le plus bruyant)

WOW.

Why do they keep increasing the numbers of whales they're killing? Do they want to go back to the days when people killed over 70,000 whales?

What is wrong with people? Humans are evil.

Hebden, perhaps you should read my 300 plus post before you assume I am for killing whales.

Good advice.

Well, are you for or against or is this to simplistic question to answer yes or no, the posts of yours I have read are either pro-whaling and anti anybody that's doing something with a purpose and unfortunatley I don't have the time to read all of your posts.
Me personally I'm against whaling in a very big way although I fear most whale species are doomed long term not necessarily from whaling but an ever increasing population and demand from there food chain "KRILL" and that said everything must be done to protect them, that is in my humble opinion.

I am anti-whaling. I love whales and the ocean. I am Anti-SSCS. I am anti-Paul Watson. I have talked with Paul Watson. This man hurts the whale cause far more than he has or ever will help it. If there were a better person out there I would probably support them. But I can not support Paul.
