YOU MADE THE RAFT. NOW LETS TRY ONE THAT CLINT EASTWOOD DID IN HIS CELL. WELD THE TWO PIECES OF METAL TOGETHER USING A SILVER DIME AND THE MATCHES IN A LARGE CAN.

would like to see that one tested. I reckon I would struggle to get a decent weld with my propane blowtorch in the time it took him in his cell, plus what a reek from the matches! you would smell/see it a mile off! It's Logic Jim But Not As We Know It... |

Weld two pieces of metal together using a silver dime and matches? Silver melts at almost 1800 degrees F. Even if you were able to generate this temperature and melt the dime (which you could not), this tempearture would produce so much oxidation of the metal (and the silver in the dime) that the silver would not flow onto it. A very strong flux would be required to prevent this oxidation, and you are not going to find that in a jail cell.
