I have heard recently to stop plasters sticking onto your skin and leaving black sticky residue afterward that you should smear a little honey and vaseline gloop over the area to have the plaster and it should come off easier.
I have not personally tried this myth but I was wondering if anybody else had any other plaster/bandaid myths? Smiler

Vaseline without the honey should have the desired effect.

Will the plaster work (stick) well enough to protect something like a wound from infection when vaseline or honey are involved?

Putting anything on the skin should ensure that the plaster falls off all by itself long before the time for its removal. The basic idea of sticking plasters is that they do, as it were, stick.
