I'd like to know if caffeine is really a performance enhancer or if it just makes you feel like your performance is improved. I'd like to know if caffeine helps with mental performance like test taking and if it helps with physical performance, such as activities that take quick reflexes. If there is an improvement in reflexes say, are there diminishing returns such that too much caffeine actually decreases performance? For example can too much make you so jumpy that you actually do less well for tasks requiring fast reflexes?
