I have been pisoned from eating a barracuda before wasnt very pleasant, anyway i've heard of all types of ways to test to see if a barracuda is contaminated with ciguatoxin such as put it in a ants nest, copper in the mouth, if the scales fall of very easy,and about 2 others, the only way i know how is let some one eat it first wait about 6-8 hours if they feel good i can eat it..oh yea theres a test kit i heard about that is made to test for ciguatoxin in a barracuda..made in australia.
