Dear Mythbusters,
You went to an awful lot of trouble making your dimpled Ford for the show. While the end result was stunning and the results amazing if you had contacted Lexus you might have been able to have borrowed a car they made especially for the 2009 US Open at Bethpage Black in NY last June. The specially manufactured Lexus was brilliant white and Lexus engineers dimpled the entire car body to make it look just like a golf ball. Regarding the beer vs beer/hard liquor hangover portion of the show. The additional carbonation of the extra beer drank during the first portion of the test, probably lent itself to the added hangover effects noted in the beer only portion. Also one other factor that was somewhat overlooked might have been the ethnicity of the two participants, and I don't mean to make this sound as if I am prejudiced. I do know from observation that some persons of one ethnic background can tolerate beer easier than hard liquor and vice versa. Being as how Tory is primarily Caucasian and Grant has a bit of oriental in him might have contributed to the obtained results. I love the show and keep up the good work! |

Thats funny about the car and my hubby and I were just talking about the drunk. Different people have different reactions to different alcohols. It just depends on your system .

To be fair the differences in Tori and Grants alcohol tolerances wouldn't of mattered as they were being tested against themselves, not each other.
However I do agree that the additional carbonation made a change in the results. Also I believe Kari said they measured the whisky shots in ml's, etc. I would of thought they should have taken the total alcohol percent that they drank, then evenly spread it between the beers and the liquor, as opposed to just splitting it via the volume. Ahh well, this is what revisits are for! |

The dimpled car was an interesting concept. Personally, I would've thought it totally flew in the face of aerodynamics, so I was well impressed with those results.
I wonder if it's a concept that will make it onto the mass market? Maybe the multiple dents in my Nissan will look deliberate in a few years time? lol |
