I am 9. i would like to know this: if you throw a grenade into a bathroom with you in it, you jump in the bathtub, will you live?

if its an old fashioned, cast iron tub, probably. if its a fibreglass or plastic tub, unlikely.

Depends on the grenade as well.
By repute, some of the Viet Cong grenades would just cause you to look round the shower curtain and ask what the noise was - a WW2 German "potato masher" on the other hand, would leave your remains in what was left of the bits of cast iron bath scattered over your neighbours driveway.

There are generally 2 types of hand grenades offensive and defensive.

The offensive grenade relies on the blast overpressure for effect rather than fragmentation. A good example of this is the German stick grenade. It allows the user to be closer to the explosion without getting injured. House or trench clearing.

The defensive grenade uses fragmentation, and as in the British Mils Bomb (Nos 5, 23 or 36) is capable of killing a person at a greater distance than you can throw it! These are used to great effect from fortified positions.

I agree with the above posts, it would have to depend on size of room, type of grenade and what the bath is made out of. One final point though, a pressure wave follows the contours of the ground, so it is possible to survive the fragmentation but be crushed by the overpressure.
