Did any of you guys know that BBC2 is now showing Mythbusters on a Thursday evening?

It appears to be the US version as the voice over has an American accent!

Yes Mythtitan I am sure because I watched it on BBC2. It is the US version so has the American voice over. I prefer Robin Banks who does the UK version.

Curiously though it is only 30 mins per episode. Even accounting for no adverts on the BBC that makes it 15 mins shorter than on the Discovery Channel.

I love mythbusters mainly for adam and jamie and what they are doing for science, but also because there isn't an annoying american interrupting every 5 seconds.
Robin is funny and relevant to what is going on. I used to love listening to him on Kiss 100 fm

Jamie, Adam, Tor, Kari and Grant are Americans but have pleasing easily understood accents. A friend of mine is from California and she has a pleasing easy to understand voice too.

So why is the American voice over on Mythbusters so irritating and somethimes difficult to understand. Must be from a southern state or something Frowner

I'm sticking with the Discovery Channel but I am glad the BBC is bringing the show to a wider audience in the UK Smiler

Robin Banks had a massive legle fight with the BBC over a radio sow about five years back. I'm not surprised they dropped his voice.

Robin Banks does the UK voice over but the version of Mythbusters on BB2 has an American voice over. Presumably the BBC got the series direct from the US.
